  • @_@ The Yu Gi Oh GX manga is extremely different from the anime.... what happened? There's these manga exclusive characters hunting duel spirits. Judai got his friend Winged Kuriboh from a dying guy in the hospital who got deadly & more dangerous attacks whenever he dueled.

And afaik, Johan can't see duel spirits?! What the heck...that's so ruining my ship. :( Why would they take that from Johan... that's so yucky. =/
Alrighty. BNHA. All might's situation tugs at my heart. It's sad that he can do hero activities less every time...

Did you get to the ep where the kids pick their hero names btw? Kacchan was rly funny
I finished the advanced generation saga! It was one the best sagas! I really liked May's character development, it was a breath of fresh air.

Like, she hated Pokemon!! And then grew into her own person and loved contests. I love how much she developed...!!

I wonder what saga I should watch or rewatch next... maybe Diamond/Pearl? I don't know! (That one was my firsrt series, d/p.) What are some of the other sagas you rly liked? ?_?
Are you sure that the manga came first? When I read it, a lot of anime-only characters get 'cameos', despite not really have huge roles. A few HOLY officers and even Kimishima (and the Dars too, from the anime have one panel).

Either that's very poor writing to set up characters with literally a page worth of story or it's fan service. To me, it sounds more like the latter, and I know I've heard the anime came first. I'll have to look it up.

You really should watch those; they were amazing. Even though Kazuma and Ryuho are very different characters in the manga, both Hoshi and Midorikawa still beautifully bring them to life.
I couldn't read it anymore without hearing both of their voices.

Let me try to find them online for you if you haven't seen them. Sadly though, the DVDs only have a handful. Given the fact they put for all that effort (even casting for new characters), I can't imagine they just picked 5 chapters in Japan. It was probably complete, just the DVDs only included a couple.

As for AMVs, yeah, a couple by me:
This one is like my magnum opus AMV; easily my favorite I ever did. This is the culmination of all my love of S-CRY-ed and why I like editing it.

Just like the series itself, it's heavily Kazuma AND Ryuho based, and how they are opposite sides of the same coin.
Set towards the end, both of them get their moments and then the story finishes and continues.

I've also done a purely Kazuma one, Ryuho one and way more than is ever necessary. But if you have to watch one; this one.
Do you have that giant almost triangle sized boxset too?

Haha, it was one of the first ones I bought, and even though it was anywhere from 30-50, I ripped myself off and bought one for 80. Derp, but I was stupid financially then. But I still have and use it.

It's not the tone of the story of anime vs manga, but more-so the Tokyopop translations I have an issue with. They're very bad.

If you have the same boxset, surely you've seen the DVD extras of the anime voice actors doing chapters from the manga? Those are some of my favorites, and it's there, you can see what the original scripts were for the manga, which are good.
The Tokyopop pages are nonsense though.

Do you know if the anime or manga came first, by chance? I actually thought the anime did, but it's hard to tell.
Script changes aside, I do prefer the anime's story by far to the manga's. It's a lot more rich and complicated. The manga, while fun at times, is still rife with a lot of plotholes and generic anime tropes.

Do you like AMVs, by the way? If you like S-CRY-ed, well, I gotta ask if you want to see them. I could literally make S-CRY-ed AMVs until the end of time; it's a series I just never get tired of editing with, haha.

Was it my sig or avatar that prompted you to message me? This is why I like having favorite things to represent me. I met another of my friends through talking about Shakugan no Shana.
I love season 3, too! It's so intense & different. I thought the dueling zombies arc was absolutely cray, too...

I'm not ready for the Supreme King episodes by a longshot, though...I'm scared
OKay. YUBEL, I think I hate it for making Judai so depressed! And stealing his boyfriend, Johan from him. (Who could be dead or something). How dare it.

Just 'cause Judai said you're his fave card, doesn't mean you can possess people!! What a piece of work it is!
    This was unexpected!

Haha, damn straight! One of the best! Kazuma is one of my favorite characters ever. But s-cry-ed is just so great in every other area. Plot, ideas, characters, and action.

Did you know it had a manga too? One that was terribly translated into English, but was decent in Japanese. Still nowhere near as good as the anime.

The Japanese cast literally embody their characters. It made me a huge fan of Souichiro Hoshi, if only from his Kazuma.
You were right. The newer dub voices are awful. May sounds horrible, Brock sounds awkward, and Max sound tryhard... only Team Rocket, and Harley sound okay to me.

...They weren't even trying to do a good job, were they? Man... I feel so bad for the original cast right now, watching this sham of an English dub season...
Well, I could, but do you know how hard it is to find older Pokemon series in Japanese on the Internet these days? ;; Nearly impossible.

    Most videos online are probably replaced by the English dub. ;;
ugh battle frontier is when veronica taylor was replaced w/sarah nanocheny, right?

I'm going to go into that season really salty. :|
I'm not a fan of early Sarah Nanocheny. =/ she was....awkward and sounded really, really bad.
What is your fave saga of the Pokemon anime, speaking of which? Seven years, ago I would have said Orange Islands, but nowadays, I'd probably say Advanced Gen, and the X/Y saga.

Honestly, it's tough to pick! The Pokemon anime is rly good, since I've been it with for eleven years.
It took me at least an hour to make it work.

Yeah, he's super mean. Just because May didn't like his cookies. <_< 4Kids did a superb job with his voice. I honestly love whoever voiced his chara.

I'm not ready for the voice changes that await me next season though...
Harley is a manipulative little gay, isn't he? ...recording his conversation w/Max to upset May. What a guy. I love May's rivals.
Okay, I finally got myself a cool background in my post flair!! How does it look? ?_? I put red roses as my background. i hope it's not too flashy example post
What do you think of my theme? I did the contestshipping thing. I might try to play around with my flair, too to add some Contestshipping there! Your flair is awesome, btw. I like it.
    Ooh, Steven!

Guess I have to change my sig to paired to Steven stone

I miss the mega evolution specials
He sure is. Lol, that little hair flip of his has so much attitude. I love how he gives roses to May, and seems to love his Pokemon, though!

I almost wanted to change my icon t drew on Twitter but I'm too tired for that lol
Speaking of Drew, he sure is really arrogant, isn't he? Rewatching Pokemon advanced has made me realize

I still ship him w may tho
