People can stop seeing things around them in two ways - one is by closing their eyes, and another is by being blind. the former is a choice, and the latter is a compulsory situation, because it is a disability.
In the same way, your case is more like a disability which you have accepted. But you should be able to choose anytime you want.
Besides, just my opinion - man, you seriously need to listen to the music in this game for a while. There is a great chance that you'll like it.

One hour is enough to recover. Besides, you can always do something in the meanwhile (while you're taking a rest) that takes little energy, like visiting the internet!
