It really is beautifully done. I wouldn't call it the most groundbreaking anime ever, but the art is gorgeous and the animation is flawless. It's really aesthetically enjoyable to watch, no doubt. But tell me about it, Dero's pretty much occupied anything that has to do with my near future with One Piece. :p He's good at filling up everyone's allotted anime time, go figure.

My biggest problem with the original was that it didn't capture my attention very much, so even if it does diverge or is darker, I'm sure Brotherhood would offer me more as a viewer. Right now I'm working my way though Nagi no Asukara, which is simply gorgeous. But unfortunately it usually takes me a while to start one anime, finish it, move onto another, and actually sit through and watch that one lol. /lazy

That's the one I actually want to watch. But I found the other one to be so.. ugh, hard to swallow and just generally boring. It didn't appeal to me at all, despite having all the elements for a good show. But yeah, I've heard Brotherhood was the better of the two, and I definitely want to give that a shot.

So don't worry dear I'm still redeemable!

And the MC is exactly like Yato. A goof looked down at by society - considered a good for nothing by most people. But his outer stupid and jovial side hides a guy with a past. He is someone that has suffered a lot in the past. A simple character on the surface but complex if you know him more.
