We meet up with you and decide to travel together, we talk to Prof. Oak on the video phone and he decides to grant your character his fourth pokedex. He was trying to fill it himself but proved that he, in his old age, could not do it. So he gives it to you and you start off with the same data of viewed pokemon that we have.
