[22:19:52] <%Forever> I feel it gives them an alternate choice, while I'm not an athiest, I do believe that it can be an advantage to people in that it allows them to live their lives without "limits", unlike those who believe there is a God. Those who do may live a more restricted life, in terms of how far they go with things such as sex that can be classed as religious, and thus hold back, whereas athiests don't necessarily have to. However, it could be a negative thing because those who are athiests have nothing to "turn to" when things go wrong in their lives - and generally are less likely to believe that things are meant to happen for a reason, and that they make their own choices in life, rather than anyone else controlling them. Generally they would have a different perspective on why we're here and what purpose we are meant to serve, as humans if there is no "grand master". Those who are athiests could have grown up without religion playing a part in their lives, or their parents believing it, or it may have been aquired through different experiences in their lives.
