Nintendo Power was the only magazine I ever really cared to read, but my subscription ended like a year or two before the magazine actually stopped print. I'm not sure about the full details, but there was some kind of dispute with their new publisher Future (the guys writing for Nintendo Power didn't want to pay outrageous fees just to stay in print or something). I liked it because, for the longest time, they had specified sections that went in depth with information on upcoming games. It's how I found out about side series like Golden Sun, which I may have passed up completely if I didn't read about it.
Coincidentally, I've been looking into getting other series, but I can't decide what ones I may actually like. I've found some that I'm sort of familiar with, but I've had a hard time tracking down games (namely, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn seem virtually non-existent in video game stores in my area). I'm thinking I may have to buy some of them online, but I'm not too fond of doing that since it costs more to have them shipped than it does to buy them in-store... >.>
