Yeah, battling Red and Lance is good...although Red always disappoints me - he's either ridiculously strong and OHKO's all my pokémon, or I actually defeat him without Revives. Lance, on the other hand, tends to be more moderate - I'm good at taking care of Gyarados and Charizard, but the other four put up a good fight.

Well, ummm...I love them both, but I'm going to suggest Gen V as it's new and all. Gen IV's good because they're all released, so anyone who now bought Platinum and Hg/Ss would get the best of the lot. However, Black/White are new, awesome (although I personally do find some things irritating, like not being able to contact the Day Care via phone), and believe it or not, cheaper (£25 new for me in March, whereas Diamond was £27, Platinum was £32 and Hg/Ss were £35).

So, yeah - Gen V ftw! (and it doesn't make you a cheapskate, it means you have brains :D )

Well, you / she can have a Japanese one sometime. Either on Gen IV or Gen V (it's easier on Gen IV, especially as you have to send it via Relocator to unlock the event, not PokéShift).

Haha, I used Raikou in my first ever playthrough of Black. But yes, I'd really give you one. I don't like Japanese characters, and I've got 6 English ones (they came from my own games, so only I get them)

Oh, there are tons of bratty kids who get everything they want by just throwing a tantrum. But that's called bad parenting XD
