Wow. A good solid 6 months. I dunno guys, I think Zel's decided to leave PC completely(obvious maybe?). Or the alternate is that something actually happened to him, so that he can't.

Then there's another reason that he may have left because SG could not be completed, and now there's HG/SS. HG/SS is better than SG and you're entitled to deny that, but that's how I think this is :\

So yeah, Zel's pretty much gone, prolly forever.

Zel, HG is definitely not a remake of HG, right? Therefore i think that both are different games, except set in the same 2 regions. Honestly said, I've grown a "nostalgia" feeling to your ShinyGold now. SG is totally different from HG. I do admit that HG is amazing, and although it may have more than SG, it still doesn't have what SG is offering. The 2 gives us different feelings of "fun".

I forgot when, but the first release of SG was already quite sometime ago. Throughout the years of waiting for new releases and excitements, i have almost forgotten that SG is a remake of Gold, and instead a feeling grew in my mind which told me that "ShinyGold is another official game in advance gen". I've even missed it now, as if it is another old game in need of a remake. A great game definitely deserving for a remake. So, my point is, please don't give up and possibly continue the work and release a SG remake, "the next beta". I think this worth it more than throwing all your hard work until today.

We won't rush you anymore, please take your time, as long as you come back and possibly resume SG. Also, when you come back, can i be your friend? You may not read this, i know, but i can't help already but to tell you what i think... Low chance that you may read this, but it doesn't mean no chance. Forgive my long post.

Hey Zel, man, I know you aren't around much but somebody had the audaucity to actually hack your hack.
Here.
He actually admits it in his description.
He says: it's his hack of Shinygold Beta 5, which is a hack of firered.
He's basically just taking your work, hacking into it and using the tile you put in and all your hard work just to make his life easier.

As a huge fan of your hacked roms, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction and help me get started. @Platinum Lucario: Wow... Way to doubt. Why wait for his return? Simple, SG is and will always be, one of the best hacks around. Far better than HG/SS even. SG has that since of nostalgia. You feel like your actually playing an updated G/S/C. While, HG/SS are nice, I dont really feel like Im playing the same game all those years ago.

We must forget about him? If everyone shared that point of view, we would have lost many great hackers already.

Zel, we await your return and the final release of a great game.

Two reasons why he hasn't been on since April:

1. He might not have wanted everyone knowing that he was quitting, and I can't blame it for someone who always constantly working on a hack.

2. He could've died somehow, or something in which would prevent him from returning to his computer.

All of you guys must forget about him. I know he made one of the greatest hacks, but now our hacks have gotten better.
And now that HG/SS has been released, you will now be able to revisit Johto once again. So what's the point of waiting for him to return?

hey zell love shinny gold it has been my inspiration to hack its also how I learned to script by reading yous, great job :D
also can I implement the match up and waterfall mini game into my hack it wont be the same just the base idea is :D I am planing on adding an extrema level for the match up after you beat the elite for and use different tiles and pokemon on the water fall I was planing on adding hops and the ability to chose double lefts or triple commands but I didn't want to start anything until I got your okay
