So, zel, how exactly did you make two regions? You said something about overwriting the sevii islands, but I don't really get it.
Well, in my hack, me and my team were thinking about connecting the new region to Johto or something to that extent. Probably from the north, that's never been done. I just had an idea. Since there are three sevii maps, would it be possible to make four regions? I think Legend of Fenju has like one region but it's so big It's spread out over three world maps.
One last question, how much more will there be after Red?

Sebbe, "were" you using is wrong, the question should be "are" you using? In which I'd reply yes. In case you've forgotten, I dont have the ability to switch easily into the newer technologies, so that takes some time for me. Once I get used to something it's hard for me to change. I said before that I'd probably start using newer stuff by the time I start another project.

spaceboy: Yep, 3/5. It's still some time till I finish both of them, though (but, I think they are less complicated than the digging and matchup)

SamieNiceGuy: The only way to learn hacking is by learning to use the different tools around. I recommend you learning to get used to Advance Map, and after that, start learning some scripting. Mapping and scripting are the two keys to start a decent hack, and along the way, you'll be learning other stuff, as sprite changing, tile editting and everything else.

But, I dont have a link to ALL the tools of rom hacking, just check out the Toolbox, as all the tools are located on the threads there. And for tutorials, the Documents/Tutorials section is what you'll need.

Advance Map only "links" a sprite to an offset (think of it as an address) of a script. But the whole script must be written using another tool, such as HackMew's XSE. That's why you should learn how to script with the many tutorials in the Docs/Tuts section.

im sorry zel. i forgot to ask one more thing if you dont mind telling me. if i get a firered rom and i wanted to edit what people say and differnt events and how to add pokemon sitting somewhere on the ground and how they can come running towards you etc. can i do it all in advance map ? thankyou. :)

Can you give me a link to where i can download all the tools for hacking. and a tutorial for hacking. cause i really want to start to learn. as im on summer holiday. plus after it i have 4 more weeks. so i have 10 weeks. i can learn to hack and i might be able to help some people with there hacks and become someone who creats a hack too. thankyou and best of luck with shinygold.
