  • Firstly sorry for taking a while - had midterms and then got super sick so I haven't been feeling too hot. Am typing this under a pile of blankets at the moment :D

That's a super cute photo. I'll have to go get some of my screenshots transferred from my Switch or 3DS. Amiibo cards are great - who do you have?

No pressure to jump into the Discord now or at any point to be honest. Have made friends in the past through VMs alone and they're just as valuable. Most people on PC enjoy having convos with new people so don't feel like it's odd randomly reaching out to people you want to get to know. I've had fun chatting!

I hadn't heard of Subnautica before but looked up screenshots of gameplay. Does gameplay stay in first person POV? Feel like that would make it quite immersive but also add to the terror that you're there in the deep ocean.

Those are all awesome, I am a big fan of Sunshine Airport and Electrodome too. Yeah seems like the DLC will take ages to roll out but hopefully will be worth the wait! Not sure if they ever leaked what other courses would be in the DLC but I am keeping my fingers crossed that they bring back DK Snowboard Cross.

Wouldn't surprise me I think a few people on PC play it! I probably don't do a great job at explaining it but has a farming system, combat, characters you can marry etc. I've never played a game in the series either until now but has been fun!

Glad the museum tour was fun - that's cool that so many years later they are able to preserve history like that. And that's super cool :o I know nothing about WWE but do you have anyone in particular you support?

Also the modded Mario Kart looks really fun - I know people have done similar things to make the Wii version more fun (like 400cc?!?!) It's neat seeing people find new ways to enjoy games
I'm definitely going to try it sometime!! Been feeling like I want to replay FRLG so badly recently, will have to add fluffy bug to my team ~ Dunsparce is a good choice too, recently I watched a YTer go through FireRed with just Dunsparce, it looks a lot of fun! I hope he gets an evo in gen 9 (or even later if we have to wait for it).

Yeah, I wonder that too. I wonder if in the future the internet itself will also be a relic, and people will instead have VR or something like that which makes plain old internet look like a fossil. It honestly makes me sad knowing I won't be around to see it.. assuming humanity even survives that long with global warming and other things corporations keep doing to ruin the planet. ><
Venomoth and Tauros yaay ~ I used Tauros before but never Venomoth :OO Tauros isn't amazing yeah but I found its brute strength pretty good, just relied on it using Strength/Return and stuff like that lol. Sevii Islands are def boring but as a kid I just loved grinding in them. Was lots of fun spamming the VS Seeker.

I was 10 during 9/11 and vividly remember seeing smoke from my window (lived in Brooklyn and the attack was in Manhattan, so not too far). The teachers refused to tell us what was going on and I couldn't understand why everyone was being picked up by their families and taken home. But yeah, it's crazy how easy it is to document things with technology nowadays. The people of the future will be able to clearly see these things and it will probably feel so surreal.
To be far, that might stop it becoming boring! It sucks losing a match because you didn't focus enough, but you can sometimes lose them by over focusing and burning yourself out too! The tricky part is finding the right balance I guess.

    Oh that's really cool!

You will find a few things very different to a house show btw. Mainly things that are ad break related. Sometimes you will get complete silence for a few minutes where the break is, other times if a match is in progress you can really notice how matches are structured around them. Basically you are not the main audience at a tv event, whereas you are the only audience at a house show, it's quite interesting to see! I've been to both and absolutely loved both. I know you're gonna enjoy it!

One tip is to scope out landmarks in relation to the camera so you can find yourself on the taping when you get back home! Also, they record a lot of the crowd shots you see though the show at the very start, or even before it actually starts, then they just pick out relevant ones to add to the live feed. Make sure you cheer early, or wave your sign if you take one, because you might miss being filmed otherwise :)
Thank you Zeostar, for this jewel of precious footage. I had not seen this rare video before. It was fascinating to watch.

I once saw an upload of a 1950s television show called I've Got a Secret, and the special guest was a witness to Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Samuel was only a 5-years-old that fateful night at the theater when Lincoln was murdered. At that time of filming I think he was the last surviving witness left. It is interesting to hear addition eyewitness accounts preserved on film like this. I am always pulled into personal accounts from folks who people lived through these cataclysmic times like passengers on the Titanic or Holocaust survivors, so I appreciate this video. Thanks again.

Since you shared something cool with me, I thought it would swap a video for a video.

Do you ever watch facial reconstructions of historical persons like famous monarchs or military leaders btw?
No worries at all, and wow you're right, there are dozens of games pushed back to page 2 and 3 that used to be quite popular! I'll make sure to prioritise those if there aren't any new ones this weekend! And I know what you mean, it's tricky to come up with a game that allows for back-and-forth posting while being unique from the rest, but if the inspiration ever strikes you, I'll be happy to host it as a featured game to get some traction ^^
I love how much freedom you have in Kanto to explore, wish they would do that more often! It's soo nice when the games don't feel as linear. I loved challenging things in random order in Kanto sometimes lol. Kind of missing playing Let's Go recently too....

Just watched the video. Wow, horribly sad, it's a whole other level of emotion when you can actually listen to someone talk about their experiences of what happened. Someone left a good comment there about it being like a time machine to watch someone from 91 years ago talk about something that happened 156 years ago and that is so so true. Surreal to think about.

Ooh okay it's connected? I guess if I ever play 3 I should go through 2 first lol D: people did say 2's DLC was amazing and if we absolutely must have extra paid content added to games, I hope it can be this high quality :3
The Animal Crossing birthdays are so cute <3 Also you have some amazing villagers. I've had Julian, Marina and Poncho before and adored all of them. Poncho was one of my best friends in Wild World, I wish I could bring him back to ACNH. Glad you were able to get some pics with your villagers :'D How was your museum visit by the way?

That's OK, it's understandable - a lot of people feel similarly in regard to using social media or sharing photos online.

Trying to comprehend how big deep ocean water and space are has always done my head in. There will probably be so much that we will never learn about deep ocean or space in our lifetimes. It's quite interesting thinking about how many undiscovered life forms there are out there in both... the fact that there is life that survives in such deep ocean water despite the enormous pressure/lack of light is quite amazing to me.

The vastness and the fact there is so much that we don't know is understanding though, in how unsettling that could be. Hospitals are a huge fear of mine too so I sympathise.

I can't imagine how difficult that would be :( Sending support to you always.

Mario Kart is so fun! Any favourite courses that you have on the Switch? Animal Crossing is fun though I wish ACNH had some more options for multiplayer. I loved playing the island tours in multiplayer in New Leaf. Mario Party is still decent with the CPUs though it sometimes does feel quite luck-based. Still fun though.

Thank you! It's quite a relaxing game if you get the chance to try it out. Lots to do too, I think I've sunk at least a hundred hours into one save file and not run out of things to do. I picked up Rune Factory 5 a few weeks ago and I'm so excited to play another farming game again haha. I guess it's not a genre for everyone but it's nice. :D
Skeletons don't burn as long as they're in water. In morning, Spiders become beutral, they won't attack unless you attack them.

Zombies burn, but Creepers never burn in sunlight, so they're there to stay. ;)

And it's okay, most of my bases are square bases too! I'm not a builder by any means! Still, it's up to you if you wanna share. Box houses are cute in their own way too! BTW, you have a Discord? We can chat there too! :D
Oh and also, do keep posting screenshots of your base in here or Screenshot Album of Games thread! Would love to see that! :)
Yeah it gets scary at times, the game never loses its charm in that regard! But you can carry torches, like a lot of them, and place them on your way so you can find your way out? ^^

Like at regular intervals too, so you don't run out! Keep a check on food too! And craft a shield! Super useful against Skeletons! :)
Oh really? Boy you joined at the right time! It's now updated with new world generation, caves and mountains look bigger and better!

You could look up wiki and YT for guides, or you can ask me too! ^^
Oh wow, that must have been very interesting and probably quite eerie - I've never been! Would have loved to see a piece of history like that, it's always super interesting. :D Glad you enjoyed that!! Maybe I'll YT some videos just to see ~

I feel like not remembering X2 much will affect 3 much at all, they're standalone games that don't require knowing the past one right? Or mostly? But yeah agreed @ DLC being buyable before a game comes out, I think instead of pushing fans of the series to purchase it early (pretty much just FOMO) they should let the game come out first so people can see whether they like it enough to buy DLC and then release it. But eh, I'm glad I can usually resist things like that @_@
I'm so happy to hear that ;w; I hope it will be next year too :3

Excited for you to try X3! I want to play 1 so I'm waiting to see if the Definitive edition will go on sale before 3 comes out. Hopefully, that would be nice. We watched the Xenoblade 3 direct and it was pretty good, story seems interesting! Did you like it?
    I finished the epilogue too!

    Also what an ending... :')

    How was your birthday?
Oh it definitely can, chess is a fantastic game, with an infinite amount of possibilities! I just found that I liked to play spontaneously, which is strange tbh, because I am autistic, and I like to plan everything out! Perhaps that was the problem, I would over think, and plan too much.

Attacking I'm good at, finishing it off was always one of my weaker points, and I was quite capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the endgame, after putting myself in great positions!

Obviously AEW feel they don't need MJF, but that might be a very dangerous game to play if he has the it factor as you say.

Oh and one more thing... happy birthday Zeo!!! 😊
