I joined I think because I had just gotten back into my Pokemon loving swing after the RSE absence left me bored with it all. Then I discovered wifi and thought it was so cool, but I had none that would work with ma DS. Lamezorz. Ah, snap, the sleepovers where my house was one of the "no wifi" ones...=[
So after my frustration with not having wifi and since all the RPs sucked/became inactive quickly (since, oh yeah, I was one of the weirdos who hovered in that section), I left for awhile, including leaving a forum I'm pretty sure I asked you to join awhile back called The Nephilim? Laura, Alex G (Will's bro) and I ran the place and it died so we put it to rest. I was just sick of message boards and TV so I got out more (woo!)
Then I discovered Alex's obsession with Pokemon and said oh.my.god. There is seriously a kid standing in front of me who just got 1,000+ points on the Awesome-meter because he still likes Pokemon at the high-school level. So I blew the dust off my battling skills and got back into the swing of things and it wasn't until like, November/December of the year I joined that I became active again, followed by another lapse which led to Spring 2007, wifi access, and battling/trading with you guys.
Alex joined for pretty similar purposes, I was already used to the place and a lot of battling went on so he jumped on it. He was never really here, though, until 1) he created a trade shop and 2) N-sider forums shut down, leaving him PC for his sole Pokemon needs. It worked out well enough, but it's safe to say Alex doesn't want to become a mod or even really get to know a lot of people here, since he's really only in it for the wifi capabilities and maybe some Poke-talk here and there :P I'm OK with that, though. And clearly the place is too much work for Cole XD.
