It must be difficult having to save up money with so many tempting material items out there. Across the ocean?!
I think the pressure can get to us as well; sometimes it just throws us completely off our game. People perform differently under pressure; one exception is me playing basketball with my best friends - good times!
Well, it's nice that they did the right thing by raising you, but being all depressed and stuff won't make anything better; they should find other things to do in the meantime to pass the time. Knowing me, I'd probably want to sit back and relax at a later age. I can also go out and do stuff later, but if I can't for some reason, then I might as well do something else in the meantime instead of being all depressed and disappointed.
"Nice guys finish last." This holds true because the nice guys let other people "finish" ahead of them; they put others before themselves even when it hinders them. Sadly, I think I've been in that situation a long time ago; those are the kind of people who take advantage of kindness. Good point because if 2 nice people are put together, then they will both be taken advantage of by others, which is why I think being more selfish has helped me in the long run.
Alright, I just thought it would be kind of interesting to try guessing it. I was wrong to doubt you on that one; I should've known that you were better than that. I have to admit that I go by stereotypes most of the time to pre-judge people. There's just no time to invest in learning about every single stranger I meet though, which is why I do that. I don't see what's the point when most people are exactly the same in this world. It's very difficult to find people who deviate from the standard, such as you and I. I'll tell you my race/ethnicity some day; just not today. I'm from the great state of Texas, the best state in the U.S., not California. It would be amusing if you were from California, haha.
