Although it does seem we share the exact same views about Flora Sky :O
Btw, for level 255, I'm guessing I would just change the level to FF in hex, right?

Edit: Just tried it, it was level 55. I don't think it works in FireRed xD
Sorry miksy, but I am on altariaking's side. I am wanting to make a hack of 3rd generation games since it is my preference and it was my first generation for Pokemon.
I have 775 posts and you have 577 posts...By the way do you think graphics are more important than the storyline? I believe it is the other way around. :S
Data structure wise, do you find 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th (we don't really know all that much about 5th) generation to be the most complex?
Yeah you're probably right. Or she wasn't getting the feedback she desired so she made up a false reason to close down the hack.
Miksy, unfortunately I had to remove the links you posted, as linking to other forums is against Community Rules. As they were helpful, I suggest VMing the user in question with them, although perhaps he already saw them.
I said "Just downloading it now, it looks good, nice work" but I don't know why it was deleted.
Well, the Showcase isn't for crappy edits, really. Sure, there're alot of "pokemon Fire Red Extreme" versions floating around, but there are some good ones, too.

But that doesn't mean people won't recognise the work you put into it. Most people around here have a concept of how difficult hacvking the 1st and 2nd gens can be.
Technically, your Yellow hack is much like your Crystal hacks, although I freely assume you but more work into the Yellow one.
Having said that, it IS technically an edit, strictly speaking, and we have to be strict in Emulation, as I'm sure you understand. So it fits in the Sideshow Showcase.

But I get the idea, yeah.
Agreeing with colcolstyles here. While I may not be able to 'really hack', I do know how much of a task it is to hack the First Gen- but regardless, if the hack in question is called 'Pokemon Yellow Reborn', that says 'Sideshow Showcase' to me.
Essentially it's an all round edit, like your other hacks, but on Yellow (and with more hex editing, I guess). Don't get me wrong, I know how hard it may have been, but a hack must go where it fits, and yours fits in the Sideshow Showcase- nothing personal whatsoever.
To be honest, your hack seems better suited for the Sideshow Showcase because it keeps the same story line and layout of Yellow, just with edited maps and trainers. Unless you can convince me otherwise, I'm going to move it over there.
No, I know, which is why as soon as my laptop is fixed, I am going to look more into it.

Depends who you are. Finding the data for some may be fun, but others find it tedious, and prefer to hack as they find their ideas fun to play with. The most fun I've ever had though in hacking, in saying that, is a compluicated graphical thing in Kirby.
OK, fair enough. People aren't hacking other stuff as much, I agree with that one.

Which leads me to a different point now. So, if, for example, someone started hacking... a Kirby game for the GBA (despite only just figuring out graphics), that would be more respectable?
Incorrect. There are many great hackers who hack even more advanced stuff without tools after they came out. It happens, and does exist, that some people don't use the tools due to all the possible bugs (kinda like people still use bows and arrows despite guns taking over the firing)
