Well I'll tell you what, I've been here a while. Long enough to see all those artists you named work when they first started gfx. Let me tell you something, it was not pretty (especially me, just take a tour around my album xD). But we all kept at it, and through practice we apparently became the guys that people like you look up to? If there's one thing I've learned about doing this, it's that it's not about catching up with your peers. Go at your own pace, and find a niche that suits you. Build on that, and soon enough someone's going to send you a random PM about admiring your work. I can't really give you tips on how to improve, but I'd be more than happy to let you run something by me and try my best to critique it (but always be wary of critiques, you might see a beauty in your work that others cannot).
