If you don't want Shiny I'd use the capture tab but honestly I find it a lot easier for shiny finds. You can find your SID by using Pokecheck to upload. www.pokecheck.org is the site and the FAQ is on there and its pretty easy to follow.

I'm not an expert, I just go off Blade's guide and abuse a few easy to hit seeds that I wrote down.

I personally prefer Leftovers with Dragon Claw, just depends if you are more of a relaxed or aggressive player. I usually try to keep mine alive as long as possible, instead of doing as much damage as possible while it's alive. Personal preference is all.

I do use Dream World, but I have no where near enough points to get a Dratini yet :/ Even if I did, they're incredibly rare. I do use it once a day, so if I come across anything I will let you know. ^^

Teams can definitely work without 5th gen Pokes, though you'll find sometimes you need them. xD

Hmm, new popular things to use which you could look at include Whimsicott, Deoxys-S, Terrakion, D'nite, Rotom-W, Roserade, Ferrathorn (almost every team has one... personally I hate it), Rueinicluse (spelt wrong), Leavanny, Eelektross, Latias, Jirachi (has become a lot better in this generation)... There's quite a few more, but that should do for now haha.

Rotom's basically just an all-around decent attacker tbh. Its main attack is Volt Switch which does good damage to a lot of things. Other than that it's not all that different to Zappy :p I can help you test some stuff tomorrow if you want? ^^

Hey. ^^ Did you end up getting a good team organised? :p

Well, Deo-S runs Ice Beam occasionally so it's hard to use Gliscor to kill it. The way I take care of them is lead with Scizor, then U-Turn to my Tyranitar. Though there are lots of ways to take care of it, just use hard hitters is the best way.

Actually, yeah, lead Dnite is very effective right now, though you do have to watch out for Deo-S with Ice Beam, as it can outspeed at +1 and KO. But otherwise it's pretty flawless. xD

Well, true, I battle on the PO server myself, so it's still legal there. But yeah, in that case, even less of a bother. xD

The main problem now is Dragonite imo, it's extremely potent, and it can do just about anything, so you never know what to expect with it. Skarmory in the rain takes care of it very nicely, though.

Luckily Balloon is only really on 3 Pokemon, Heatran, Excadrill, and Magnezone, which can all be beaten by any STAB Fighting move. So it's definitely less of an annoyance that it was earlier in the metagame.

Well, it's definitely tough balancing Pokemon with life, I guess it's just something you really have to want, though if you've come back to it after all this time, you must like it plenty. xD The metagame now isn't too hard to get into, just takes about a week or so on Pokemon Online. I'm currently working up a clan thread, though, you should join once it gets posted. :P

Glad you're getting back into the game, it's (imo) a lot more fun than last generation.

And I dunno, I just love Pokemon, and when I feel like not playing anymore, I just go and work on my ROM hack instead of battling, and by the time I get some work in on it, I just can wait to get back to battling. xD
