Well nowadays it's becoming more apparent to others that they need to become more accepting of other peoples' shortcomings. I remember a time when the idea of there being mature students in courses seemed really unusual, but times have changed. I actually worked alongside two 45 year old students during my last year here at college and, well, let's just say there's a reason why I prefer their company over students my age. They have had more life experience and are determined to get their work done a lot more than the frivolous young adults that would rather go out drinking.
Honestly, don't feel too bad, Mario. Age is just a number, and as far as I can see...you're still young and able to make accomplishments for yourself during the many years you have ahead. Lord knows letting yourself idle for longer and feeling that depression inside, in the long run, would be a lot worse than remembering the days you would have been bullied at school. You wouldn't be letting yourself into some great opportunities because the past has affected you so much, and while I understand that it's easier said than done to put behind a painful experience, you've more or less got to do that otherwise you'll be predicting a rather mediocre set of years ahead for you..
