Hey, I just beat Red on Crystal version for the scramble challenge. My team:
Furret,
Tentacruel(caught as Tentacruel w/ non-standard pokeball),
Azumarill,
Parasect,
Sunflora,
Miltank.
I messed up on some of the restrictions so I just said screw 'em. In-game name is A-Game.

right. X Accuracy makes the OHKO moves always hit (as far as I know), and the X Speed is only needed if you need to outspeed someone. Also, I tried to do it again without using savestates, but I lost against Koga, who killed me with Sleep Powder/Psychic before I could set up. I had to go to the Mart beforehand rather than after to buy Full Heals to use until Sleep Powder missed (after I used the X items), lol. He was the only real problem I had, since I fought a couple extra trainers at the beginning to be at L26 for Misty to outspeed and survive a crit Bubblebeam if necessary. ended with a time of 2:52, but it could be better, I made some mistakes.

By the way, do you have a map of Kanto for Pokemon Yellow? I could probably use a R/B one, as I think only the gym leaders changed pokemon, right? I'm trying to map out which trainers to fight and stuff.

Actually, Sabrina isn't too hard since you can set up against Abra. Misty and Giovanni's Dugtrio are both major pains, though. Starmie can 2HKO with Bubblebeam if you special is too low, and Dugtrio has Fissure/Dig/EQ, and outspeeds. I think Misty is early enough not to be that bad if you lose, and if you get Zapdos before Giovanni, Dugtrio can be dispatched with him. Zapdos can also counter the rest of the obstacles I outlined in my post as well all in all, I think it's doable. I'm gonna try to do it without saving at all to see how good it gets in comparison to how I did with a few savestates. The fact that he can learn 2 OHKO moves is awesome. Besides, there is no current SS run for Yellow on SDA at the moment.

hey myrrh, are you doing a Nidoking solo on Red or Yellow? Cause I was thinking of trying him for Yellow.

so, I only have Water left to do, hoy cow. Although, my flying monotype (at least) was on LeafGreen, so I won't get the SMM title for Kanto or Johto I think (not sure), but Hoenn and Sinnoh will qualify, lol. I'm thinking about going all out for the water mono (like stick as many team members I can in there and maybe play with the remakes), which will give a slower pace, I guess.

By the way, recording DS games (for SDA) would be with a camera. Just so you know.
