Your welcome and I bet you will win eventually. Thank you also about that graphics. Ray and I are planning on catching up with you. :P Here is a world map of Hoenn I made for our hack:
Well thanks for thinking I'm cool. ;) I can see why you would want to keep the work to yourself. It'll be really cool to play as them. I hope Lilac wins HotY! I voted for you I hope you know. Even if you don't win this year if you release Beta 2 next year you'll definitely win!
Well I'm still grateful. It's gives us something we can start to base off of. I'm surprised that the OWs needed that much attention. I just thought you inserted them. Were gonna use JPAN's engine for scripts but maybe we will use if for OWs. What did you use it for? Expansion of the number of OWs? Or the expasion of palettes?
Hey Fuji! It's dudedude1. Like my new username? Anyways Ray told me how your letting us use the NSE library for our hack. I just have to save I am very grateful! :)

Arg, thanks anyways! Could you refer me to someone who might know? I tried asking in the general questions thread but it's been overlooked..

Btw, How are your hacks going?

    Hiya,
Would you happen to know the Ruby RAM offsets where the Hall of Fame data is saved (and its structure)?
    Thanks!
"Mapping with HEX is a horrible experience that shouldn't be attempted by anyone who wants to retain their sanity."

So now you know what happened to me.
Nah I was just messing with him. But I may be moving there next year, got some family over there, and Ireland is a shambles right now.

Well I can certainly help. I'm not amazing but I'm capable enough haha. But yeah, that's what I'm happiest about, I've learned so much about what I can do, and I understand how games work. I'll be working with Sony with the creators of Little Big Planet over in London for a few weeks in a few months. I knew some guys who referred me to them and they seen some of my stuff so they said they'd give me some experience.

...don't talk to me about it, I was such a frickin' noob. The biggest noob. But yeah, hacking is cool and all, I just rather not having such difficulty to do small things XD
I'm working a bit too, and have a girlfriend to keep me entertained so hopefully I'll be alright haha. Did you enjoy your year out?

I do think you pull it off well. I played your beta and was rather impressed by what you achieved. And, if you do need some help graphically I can probably help you out. I've made some stuff in 16 colours, and made tiles that were 30 something colours look pretty well at 16. As well as having a few other abilities in spriting. Just in case you ever need a hand, because spriting for rom hacking is a little less tedious than game dev due to design.

I dabbled, what I released was awful, because I was a noob. I went back to it just to learn how to do it properly a few months ago. Managed to insert some things, and mapped a little through hex on a red rom. Not easy...not going to do it again. Took me ages just to change one tile on a map through hex lol. But yeah, I'm not good at it or anything, but I enjoy a challenge.
I have those days most days now haha. Taking a year off to do what I want before college and stuff really. But they're rewarding.

The graphical freedom, that's about it though. And well, we don't need to do as much work for in game events such as talking and such. But yeah, the programming. And if you start game dev, you tend to be ambitious and go all out on things due to the freedom. Which ends up giving you more work. In terms of meeting release dates; hacking is a little more organised. I used to hack a little, and I understand XSE and hex, but meh, graphical limitations are bleh. The artist in me XD
Haha. I've been working like crazy lately...Did this over the past two or so days, with animations, the inclusion of a berry system and most of the tiles. A casual 8 hours per day lmao. But I'm glad you like it. Game dev isn't the easy way out people think it is.
