That's actually what I had in mind too! haha. But yes, it's actually been quite a while since I've done any hacking. I occasionally partake in Mapping Competitions here on PC though haha. :)

Aha, yes well I do tend to be very very lazy. So much so that I haven't done any hacking in God knows how long. And to be a little honest, the ROM hacking scene isn't really what it used to be. ;;

Anyway, I'm still not that good at assembly though because I've this far managed to make slight changes by for example modifying the bit that's being copied to hl register (=a register pair that can store a full 2-byte address). That way, I made the game think that you've obtained the badge from Clair if using a trade pokemon in battle.
I do understand more complicated scripts too though but can't just put up much new myself yet.

GBA assembly ought to be a little easier though because the full rom data is copied to ram (at least I think so).
In GB/C, only rom bank 0 (0-3FFF) and other ram data (WRAM, video ram etc.) are always accessable.
