Hmm. Maybe. :) I guess it would register all of the Pokédex data for all of them on my SS (besides, it's not like I'll ever catch my own Shaymin or Arceus without an Action Replay to unlock the items, since I would never randomly plant legendary Pokémon).

The only possible glitch is I don't have a lot of Pokémon to trade out, so this would literally be a couple at a time. And each couple sent back via the alternate (non-official) version would be in turn traded over during the transfers, so you'd have to keep switching games. In other words, you trade from the "wrong" version, I send over a couple for those, then I trade them to the "right" version for two more, which later trade to the "wrong" version for two more...etc.

It doesn't have to be Shiny, but I won't say no to it; I will keep a few Shinies for cloning someday myself, if I get them and an Action Replay for the 3DS, as they can make good trading material. Might help me top out the Pokédex. I oughta clone that Japanese Ditto someday, too...and someday I'll have a Lv.7 Shiny Nincada I located in Emerald sitting pretty in both Generations IV and V (Route 116 catch, luckily I still had a Pokéball)...

I was the one who brought up Spinarak. It's found in the trees in HeartGold while it's Ledyba in SoulSilver. I've been trying for a while to arrange a trade in 4th gen. between those two. The spare Ledyba from National Park is sitting in a stray Box in the PC as I type.

I think your description of yourself matches your request: it's an impossible thing. I'm not finished SS yet so don't even have a Master Ball, but out of curiosity, why do you have a flashcart version? Don't you have two systems to do this with? Are the Pokémon hacked in some way, or non-event Pokémon? I need to find a Shaymin, Manaphy, Arceus (which would have to be event as the in-game one is technically illegitimate having never been released), and so on myself, mind. I know I'm seeking a Spinarak myself, but if worst comes to worst I can perhaps find one in Pearl or Platinum someday by breeding Ariados.

Yeah it depends on the event. For that kind of event you can participate in if you offer your own shinies. Just basically work out a system that doesn't enable cheating so everyone gets a fair share of shinies, basically. That's if you're chosen, though!
