I do a lot of humanities. I find it suits me better to give an argument rather than memorise facts and methods so yeah its a lot of writting but it works for me. I never like saying if they're going well or not, if I say they are then my results will be filled with Es.
I hated maths. Just scraped a B grade and that was the end of it. Science I could do, took it extended for GCSE but I don't think I could handle A-level. I'll be all finished by the time you even start. I suppose thats a good thing really, I'd rather get them over and done with but at least you've got more time to prepare.
