I'm glad you like the sound of things! Here's a quick summary:
The Knights met up with the council and were ordered to go check out where they had heard one of the MEchanist's enclaves were. Up 'till then, every other information about where the enclaves were had been bogus.
At the same time, the Mechanists, in a different enclave, planned to attack the council and kidnap the youngest of the council members, Matthew, the Alakazam.
The knights head off, have a big battle in the woods, find the enclave and purge it out, then rounding up the innocents at the square. Caedmon was going to have them imprisoned, but Maverick, his only superior besides the council, decided they only needed one survivor, which in Caedmon's mind was against the values and the very ideal of the knights, but they died anyway.
Meanwhile, the Mechanists teleported into the city, got pretty badly hurt, but managed to snatch up Matthew and take him to their enclave. While he gets patched up, the forces then headed towards the enclave that was attacked to save who was left, and had a fight with the guard-knights.
The knights return, furious at the attack. Caedmon reports the supposed murder of the innocents to the council, who laughs and shrugs it off. This makes Caedmon realize how corrupt they've become, and that the knights aren't as noble as they were when his master, the old leader of the Knights, had been.
He frees a prisoner and escapes towards the enclave, and with the power of his commanding, manages to get the knights to flee, and his now having a standoff with the leader of the excavating forces, saying he wants to meet with their -real- leader.
... Okay, that wasn't short, but it was pretty good, no? :D
