Thats really good to hear! I feel the same way about science as a whole. I could wax on about the wonder of evolution and the universe and everything else for hours xD Its great when you have a subject you love and you just have to tell people about it. Really gets kids enthused as well from my experience.

Kids at my high school were much the same. Some teachers were terrible with the kids but a select few were great and managed to get even the kids labelled as "trouble" working and enthusiastic. Hopefully you'll make a difference in whatever school you end up in!

Sounds great! Cant say I'm particularly familiar with the American education system...well except for what little news we get in the U.K about some teachers/schools/states opposing the teaching of evolution etc xD.

What was it that made you want to go into teaching history or english?

Then I'm sure you'll manage it perfectly! Some of the best teachers I had taught humanities subjects like History or English. I think as long as the passion is there then the kids should react to it (as much as I blame the curriculum xD).

Ah! a prospective teacher! I'd love to go into the education side of things but the U.K (and the U.S) biology curriculum is too constrictive in my view (cant comment on the history or english side of things haven't done them for a few years now). Too focused on read and remember style learning and not focused on getting the kids excited (although some teachers try their damnedest). I especially dislike the way evolution is dumbed down at lower school levels when it doesn't need to be!...Sorry that was turning into a bit of a rant there xD.

Long story short: Would much rather teach on a reserve or park or zoo etc. (and then I get time with animals besides humans xD)

I'm a second year Zoologist. Which probably sounds more interesting than most people would actually find it xD

Ah I read your post the day after it was posted. Love Greek mythology (Its second only to Norse mythology in my eyes) so was pretty interested but I doubt I'd have the time to commit to any more RPs at the moment. I move back to Uni in a few days and spare time is already pretty scarce thanks to the packing.
