  • Indeed! Now we need that to be made for at least Emerald. Hah. Hey, I tried posting my thread back last Friday. And I've now sent a PM to both of the two mods; and it hasn't gotten approved, or even gotten a response back (I did see Giradalkia looking at my threads or something the day after I PMed him, I think,... but alas that's as far as it's gone.) What do you think I should do? I don't want to pester them anymore... I think I followed the rules haha... but I do want my thread so I can continue editing it.
No problem! If you find out which special it is (or what section of hex to edit) let me know.
EDIT: Also, if you know the answer to any of the questions I asked in my post history, please tell :P
Yeah, Shelly and Archie are 021-022 and 023 in PET 1.0. Maxie is 259-25A and lastly: TABITHA is 202. I think your best bet at editing what Pokémon Steven has in that double battle is to find the thread about editing Wally's fight with Ralts.
Yeah,go ahead and show me the tiles, and good luck with your new hack with cooley, show me some screens when you get some progress :P.

and I've just been lurking the internet (youtube and such),been visiting other forums (for this one fps game I've been playing for a while now).other than that, nothing much.
Yup, either that or maybe you can find it in a trainer editing tool such as PET or A-Trainer.
Taking a quick look, the double battle seems to be somewhere in these specials:
    Spoiler:
My game? Pokémon hack: Not sure (might not put one up.) Unrelated to this site: when I have a website, haha.
Mmmm, I've read someone asking that very question (I haven't looked, but when I do, I'll relay my findings to you.)
Yeah... I know how you feel. None of my questions have been answered + everything I read seems to be for FR.
    Same to you!
No problem, I'm happy to help!
    And about your other question:
I'm not sure... yet. I'm searching through emerald trying to find what variables, flags, specials, berries and such are used in the game. When my thread gets accepted I'll have a place to put my research. (I've listed all of the hidden item's IDs on there already :P)
There isn't a thread for that. If it's a general game development question, just ask in the main section. If it's Essentials-related, ask it in the Essentials forum.
yeah,I don't start college yet so I still have some free time, but hacking isn't so interesting anymore. :P
Ok cool, and nah, those plans died out.I lost interest in everything and moved onto other stuff. But I'm slowly getting back onto this hacking stuff and might make one last ROM base or something.
Yeah its been a while, how have you been?
I'm pretty much done with all this forum and ROM hacking stuff,I'll probably show up every month or so to check up on vm's,but if you have any hacking questions, feel free to ask,I still remember a few things :P
Hey, glad you liked my pokemon story. Although I think it would be cool to make a game, I don't know anything about developing and I really don't have time to learn and I wouldn't feel right making you do all the work on the game. I'm going to start writing the second part of my story soon and even that may take a while with the little time I have left. Again, glad you liked it and I hope you'll read the second part of my story once I put it up.
No, its 3am where I am at.
The first hack was by Jambo51 "Mugshot hack" you can look in the research and development thread to find out how to apply it. As for the latter, that would be JPAN's Uncompressed image viewer, which is a hack that comes with his package.
I didn't try to sound like I was underestimating you in any way but as you asked this, "So do you know of a way to script for red version?", it pretty much proved you don't have an idea how Gen I works. It's all assembly (ASM). Hex editing, working with pointers and RAM is way easier than debugging code and writing your own code and debugging it so that you'll see every instruction is performed in the way you want, registers are loaded with the values you wanted etc.

I'm not saying this is impossible but I've been hacking GSC since (2008 when I made those bad edits of pokemon crystal) 2010 and still haven't learned how to write code like Koolboyman can. I've been trying to get better and better at assembly for almost a year now and finally, know how > 90% of instructions the processor handles work but still can't "put them in use".
