Haha, I remember getting a Strat guide and doing the same thing but to my Mom. It was for Diamond and Pearl, though. I think I was 12 at the time of that. (I was born in '95) Hm? I don't remember that one, lol. The one I remember is the one where they have people dressed up as certain Gen 3 Pokemon. I remember seeing that and getting pumped for it. Same with that DPPt commercial where the Poke balls are falling from the sky.

Yeah, I hardly ever crack open repels. I'll just walk through the grass if I intend to dodge less wild Pokemon. But I try to keep a look out for anything I might want for my team, too.

Yeah, I thought so too. The only other shinies I had were a shiny silcoon and some others. Been so long I can't remember. I do recall catching that Silcoon, though. Yeah, that was my Emerald, I believe. Whismur? That's sweet! I always liked the Whismur line. What ever happened to it? :3

Hey, I have a favor to ask of you. Back in the day (maybe 2010 or 11?) I was mad into Pokemon. I mean, I still am, but I was trying my hardest to get into WiFi battling. I had acquired some really good Pokemon, through trading. I wouldn't mind getting them back. I might even already have a team waiting to be assembled on my Platinum (I had bought the Japanese version because I could NOT wait for the English Version to release lol) and I would like to get them over to my HG or White. I only have one DS and no friends who like Pokemon. If you're willing to help me get them over to HG or White (Not sure which one, yet) I'll give you my Shiny Beautifly. (I just checked my Platinum, I evolved that Silcoon apparently. I would give you the Nature but it's in Japanese :/ ) I won't be using her. Let me know.

Oh and do you have a 3DS? If so, what do you think of it?

Aha wow, & yeah with approval it can be pretty bothersome u__u; Yeah I sometimes feel that way about NU/W and being one of the few that really know enough to direct all the newbies that post question threads to the right place, but then I remember a few of the higher staff started out modding that section aha ;w;

I'm not sympathy fishing but I've always been shafted in favor of someone else. Whether it was family or friends. lol
Ha, I remember when I seen Sapphire setting in WalMart. (I never kept track of when stuff had released but Emerald wasn't out yet) I bummed Mom to buy it for me and I played it all night. The next day I called my friend to tell him how excited I was. lol

I would have popped a blood vein if that had happened! Haha. I was pretty stunned, though. It took me so long to catch him. :( I re caught him, though! :D
I've been fairly lucky with Shinies. I think I've seen 3 or 4? I've always caught any Shiny I've seen. I'm like a Boy Scout, I always keep prepared. lol
My first shiny was a Ponyta in Pearl. I was running up and down the Day Car route trying to hatch an egg and ran into it. I was so excited. What was your first shiny?

But NU/W is pretty active so it can get tough to reply to all the threads, but that's nothing that stresses me out \o/ It's a forum so I see it as fun~

Haha, I remember when I got FRLG. My Aunt, who never done anything for me but done everything for my Sister. She loved my sister to death. Bought her stuff, hung out with her, and even let her live with her when she turned 18. I guess she wanted to give me my one, so she took me to the Mall. I had enough money for PMD, which turned out to be one of my favorite spin-offs, even today, and FR. They offered me a deal on a Strat guide, and she bought it for me. I was so excited. I played the crap out of PMD and I think I beat FR once. I liked FR at the time but never got pulled in.
Hah, I bought Saphire. I was so excited when Mom bought me it. I played it so much.
I actually haven't even beat it yet. >.> I'm trying to. I've got a team plan going and its planning out so far. Same here. The summer evenings just playing Sapphire. That night I caught Rayquaza was amazing. I got so excited I dropped my SP and the cartridge fell out. I had to re catch him after wasting an hour and all my ultra balls! @.@

Oh, btw, I sunk a little time in HG today. I really like it, tbh.

I use VBA, too. I also have a Desmume and a BSNES. I play them from time to time. I haven't played Pokemon too much on them, though.

I thought FRLG was alright. I didn't sink too much time into them. I LOVED Emerald, though. Man, so much nostalgia buried into that game. I wish I still had my Original cartridge. Good times, hehe.
Yeah, I'm trying to beat BW before BW2 comes out. I know, I waited this long to actually play it. Haha. I really like it, though. Story is good so far. I'm also trying to beat HG. But more or less just trying to enjoy it. So many good things said about it here on the forums.
And same here, school takes up so much time. I'm a Senior, though, so won't be long before I'm done. But then off to college, lol.
Yeah, Gen 1 is okay. I played it a lot as kid but I was so young I barely remember it. That's why RSE is so dear to me. I was at the right age to enjoy it.

Same here. I tried emulators but I felt weird not clutching my DS or actually popping in my game. I love PC and Emulation is great for old games but it didn't feel right with Pokemon for me.

You're a Gen 3 man too? :D I LOVE Gen 3. So many nostalgic memories with Sapphire. Seriously one of my top 3 favorite games of all time. I personally liked Gen 4. Pokemon Pearl was a really good game, imo. It had a really low tone to it. Like everything was so calm. I liked it.
I was thinking about doing a challenge. I might one day. For now I want to beat BW before October 7th and beat HG. Or enjoy HG, should I say.
I don't hate a Generation either, but my least favorite is easily Gen 1. It's not a bad Gen, but I just never really enjoyed it and was too young to have nostalgia for it.

I usually try to go with what is considered canon. Like how Black 2 (I'll never remember his name) is supposed to have a Tepig, I go with that. Or how Gold has a Typhlosion. Unless I'm making a team or I happen to really like a certain starter, I go with that route. Also, do you play on an Emulator or DS?

I've been playing video games since I was really little. I was too young to realize how to actually play when RBY came out and when GSC came out I didn't play it too much. But I loved RSE and on. RSE is my nostalgia playground. I love it. Gen 4 comes in close and Gen 5 is really fun. I've been gaming forever, though. I was an Xbox kid until I saved up enough for a decent gaming PC. Now I game on PC. As for what Pokemon game I'm playing, HG and BW right now. On a DS, for the record. I was doing Emerald on an Emulator, but have been wrapped up with BW and HG I haven't barely touched it. No challenges, though.
