  • Sorry I'm a bit late on this. Been super tired lately and all, so long messages haven't really been the first thing I rushed to :(

Yeeaah, not much anime really made it to the Danish television here, only thing that I ever remember was DBZ, Naruto, Pokemon and Mew Mew :p Naruto didn't start hitting till a few years ago though, and that was when I started getting into it. Once they stopped dubbing it here I went to watch the English dub online, and I was really hooked. Pokemon I followed for a long time when I was younger, though they kept skipping in the episodes here, jumped from one season to another, so eventually I stopped watching it. Got around to watching the English dub several years later though, and I went through a lot of the episodes, but unfortunately it gets a bit boring when you watch so many episodes in a row, and I got bored of it after a while. Have been on and off with the anime ever since.

YYH definitely had some of my favourite characters in any anime ever, so it's hard not to like any of them really, it's just a matter of which ones you like the best xD Everyone had something unique to them, and everyone added something to the whole anime though, so that's really hard to say. I feel like I neglected to mention Genkai though, even though she's definitely one of the best characters there is. She has a great backstory, she's strong, she's hilarious, and she's totally unexpected. At first I thought she'd just be a side character, but turns out she'd mean a lot more to the whole thing than just one who held a tournament. I kept thinking Freezer whenever she talked though xD

Also, is it just me, or did the anime start to decline in quality once they reached midway through the third season. I mean, the dark tournament saga was arguably the best thing about the whole anime, but I just started getting really bored once it got far enough into the third season, and the first time I around, I even skipped through most of it, so I was left with a lot of spoilers afterwards once I went into the fourth season. And I'm just not sure if it was because it actually wasn't that good, or if it was because the dark tournament just was so great, it left everything else feeling a bit dull :p

Sounds like Air Gear would be a pretty fun manga to read/anime to watch, and I'm probably most likely to go with the latter, since I can't really afford to buy any manga at the moment :/ But it sounds really interesting, so definitely something I'm gonna check out eventually. Seems like it'd be worth getting an account on Netflix though :D

The only anime I've ever successfully pulled off a switch with was Naruto, and that was because the voices actually werent that different after all. Both had pretty great voice actors, so there wasn't really any characters that got ruined for me, and I felt like the differences weren't that great. That's kinda different with One Piece though, since there's a huge difference in some of the voices, and it's just hard switching immediately. It's been quite a while since I last watched it though, so I'm pretty sure I could begin watching the sub now and be able to live with it :p I really like the anime and the concept though, so I have no doubt that it's still as great :D

I don't know, I got bored after the first two episodes, and I may just be judging the anime too quickly, but I just didn't have fun watching it. It probably got better on a little further into the anime, but then again, I wouldn't want to take on too much at once. I've already gotten quite a few other animes I want to either want to finish, catch up on, or start watching, and since I didn't really enjoy Bleach that much, it's not really top priority. It sounds interesting though, and I really wish I could pull through :(

Fairy Tail was a mixture of a lot of things I like. I've always loved magic and all that, and the whole thing with guild and all that was just really interesting. The characters were really likeable, and the plot was great. I loved how it often showed scenes of when the guild members were young, and the relation between a lot of the characters, how it gave some characters episodes, and sometimes even whole arcs to further elaborate on the characters, which is something I think a lot of animes kinda lack. It's hard to really like a characters, if all you know about them is how and where they are now, but nothing about where they come from. The battles were epic, and yeah, Natsu was a really great friend, which may be cliche, but I think it worked out pretty great in this anime. And I'm not a person to ship characters much xD

I was completely hooked on FMA from the moment I watched it, so I couldn't have spent more than a few weeks either before I'd completely finished it. It didn't take long for me to continue on Brotherhood either, however I'd initially thought it was just a remake, and it was a bit hard starting because I really didn't want to watch it all again. Luckily they skipped quickly through the shared storyline, so it wasn't too bad. I loved how everything they did in the beginning was for their mother, but eventually realised that they shouldn't mess with the dead, and should just be happy they had each other. I loved just about all the characters, and I hate myself because I really loved King Bradley's characters and his voice so freaking much, and when I found out he was actually a Homunculus, I was fhsfkhskhdfdj. So sad :(( Definitely one of the best anime I have ever watched. I honestly don't remember that many of the battles, since it's quite a while since I watched it, though I'm all up for watching it again sometime soon.

And oh yeah, Yu-Gi-Oh was also one of the animes that was dubbed, and it was one of my favourite back then. Something about card games, despite being different, is just so fun. I mean, it was really something different, but also a really interesting idea, and it was definitely a good way to promote their card game, even though I never got any :( I think the card you may be thinking about is Exodia, although we never got to see much to it except for in the battle with Kaiba. I went looking for online Duel Monsters games back when I got hooked on it again, and got really into playing the game myself, but there weren't really any good ones, so kinda lost interest again. It was definitely something big back in the day though :D

People who haven't watched Pokemon as a child must never have been one. It was the first thing I ever got hooked on, though I honestly don't remember if I played the games or started watching the anime first. I just remember it was what most kids were obsessed with, and where a lot of my time went. Pokemon has also pretty much been my life, my whole life xD It was what eventually lead me to this site, since I gave all my games away at one point, regretted it, and found out about ROMs and ROM hacking, this site and all, and eventually I started becoming more part of the community, bought back a few games, and this site has been a big part of my day for over one year now. As I mentioned earlier, I've been on and off with the anime, but my interest in this site has pretty much stayed consistent :D Also, the reason that the newer generations get so much hate is because people have their nostalgia goggles sitting too tight. I admit, I liked the older generations and seasons better as well, but that's because they're the ones I've grown up with, and the newer seasons and games are arguably better.

It was such an amazing anime. Yeah, the Diclonii were pretty strange, but also pretty terrifying, I just had no idea on how to feel about everything. I constantly felt sad for and was terrified by Lucy, and blehh emotions were torn all the time and I was scared and it was such a great anime, no other has ever had me feel like that.

I never actually watched Dragonball, only learned about that through the manga, which I have all books of, but DBZ was something I followed intensely. You're right in that neither GT nor the remakes really can live up to the original, because that is what so many people have grown up with, and no remake can really perfect that. I think the Dragonball series has reached the end of its life as well though. It was great, but it's been going on for so amny years now, there's not much left that can be added to it.

Heard a lot about Guilty Crown, and often in relation to Code Geass as well, but I've never watched it. Code Geass was really great in a lot of ways, plot-wise, great characters, and all that. It may not be all that much compared to all of the greats nowadays, but it was definitely a great watch, and I'm still waiting eagerly for that R3.

Yeah, I followed Naruto the most intensely when they were still young, and I still love the Chuunin Exam arc the most to this day, although I feel like past that it was just mainly filler. Shippuuden focused mainly on the story in everything, and there were a few filler arcs here and there, but they were all in training Naruto to get Sasuke back and beat the Akatsuki and all. It had a lot of great moments, but once I reached the point where the episodes were still being made, I just kinda lost interest. I've heard too many spoilers though, so sad :(

Now, I think we may have covered anime here in this conversation, so what do you say we move on to something else? xD

What are your favourite video games/video game franchises? Favourite developers? stuff like that :D
