Hello! Which game are you trying to edit? It's completely normal for the ROM to shrink, don't worry, it's because the tool trims it. However, it's the first time someone has told me Pokémon battles have stopped working. Make sure the unmodified ROM is not corrupt. Also, are you trying to edit battle texts? The game expects some variables to appear in those texts, so if you're editing them that may be the reason too. Regards :)

It's in an offset somewhere in that area; look around.

You could try working out with stuff under Options menu while having GoldFinger opened.

Of course, if you haven't included lowercase letters in your table file (I see why not though...), they won't show up either.

I would say you should do a little 'research'- look at THEIR credits and see if the tiles they used are public. If they made the tiles themselves, though, the only way you can use them is by getting permission from them, I'm afraid.

All I can say regarding thread submission is to follow the stickied requirements as strictly as you can. If your thread ticks all the boxes it's going to be approved. If that's the case when you submit your hack, I'll happily give you some feedback. Alternatively you can PM me with your thread content and have me review it BEFORE submitting.

I don't know anything about that anymore man, sorry... I don't rom hack and haven't really in years aside from a graphics patching project at PokeMMO.

How's it going? I haven't been able to write any other stories due to the fact that I'm getting ready to graduate. It sucks because I have my story outlined, I just don't have time to sit down and write. There's a 1 week period between the end of this semester and the start of the summer that I could possibly sit and write 1 or 2 chapters, but I want to be able to have time to write and finish the story in a reasonable time frame.

You have to hex edit his Pokémon. The offsets are in the Quick Research and Development thread somewhere.

I'm going to add these tiles on another ROM base that has way more tiles inserted so you could say I'm half finished.I don't think I have the patience to make a new hack this is only so I can release it for public use.

like i said im on hiatus won't work on it much
don't worry about scripting that's all on me... plus i'd prefer if i did all the scripts since im keeping track of flags etc2

k nvm... As for now not planning on inserting 'new' pokemon happy with the 386 BUT if u feel there are some pokemon sprites worth changing (to make em look better) go ahead... I always enjoyed the way ruby/sapphire made the kanto pokemon don't u think they look cooler in those versions?
