  • Why is it that YAPE won't work with your patch? It says the file doesn't exist or is unreadable.
    Well usually at least in my case I started out with just editing maps with the preset tiles and tried learning scripting so patches I didn't learn about until later but that's just me. And yeah I understand you are doing a good job, applied it my rom thanks for it and hope to see more from it!
    I changed map sizes and tilesets as well as palettes. Seems as though you rom has to be COMPLETELY new, which I suggest you should try and fix because those who'd use it are probably more skilled and most people already have hacks they're working on but thankfully I was only doing maps and I can just bring them over lol
    Sorry I didn't clarify; I didn't change the map names at all and I checked all the maps for it. The only feature I can think of that might do anything is 1.92's "write palette changes to Rom" but I'm not sure if that uses free space or not. Also, I had used overworld sprite editor to change the images of some sprites but that's it.
    I mean yeah it works on a new fire red, was just wondering why it wasn't on the old one. Guess I can port over my blocksets and tilesets then since i havent started my scripts so it won't be too hard to continue off on a new rom. So after I apply your patch, I can apply the fire red hack patch too?
    Question about your patch, I am trying to apply it to my hack. I haven't added any scripts or anything that uses offsets in yet, all I've done is work on the maps and yet when I apply the patch, it'll work if I view it in VisualBoyAdvance as far as the de-capitalization goes, but when I try to open the rom in AdvanceMap or any other program I get a error for either unreadable rom or like some pointer error. Any help?

    To fix your reflection bug you can go to the offset 35E968 and edit the palette. It fixed mine, I hope it fixes your.

    I believe so? I just set the animation pointers in PGE to the start of the newly added anim, right? And just to be one hundred thousand percent sure, at the "zzyyxx"s, you just sub in the code underneath?

    The problem that I have been having is that once I go through and replaced all the stuff, it gets to the background (the purple curly one in dark pulse) and then it freezes. The same thing happens when I try to implement pawell6's draco meteor code. Any thoughts? thanks again

    I was attempting to use your animations for dragon pulse and dark pulse, but they would freeze my game when implemented. I substituted in the "zzyyxx"s and it still won't work. If you could help me that would be amazing, thank you!

    Hey stopped by just to say LOVE the hack hope all is going well with it and i had one question for you i wasnt able to get the legit support banner not sure why but would love to have the real thing so if people see it that can click it and get sent to your thread!!! thanks a bunch!!!!
