well yeah, VIII is pretty good yet it has lots of things I don't necessarily like about it. the stats gain is mostly handled by Draw ability and spamming that in battles to gain magic spells. beside that, if I remember correctly, there is no MP so stuff like summons (or GF) is handled so that they have their own HP and can be defeated so you can't call them anymore.

but other than that, it's storyline is okay and music as well.
not sure I have anything else to say about this though. but if you feel like talking about something else, I don't mind.

Stuff has happened, been busy with work and videogames... how about you?

Well actually, the latest (yes, the latest) game I have bought is Final Fantasy XII and that was in 2010 or so, maybe a bit earlier. I couldn't finish it since I didn't like the new battle system and in my opinion, Square has gone downhill with their development since FF9 was released or so. Which was also when composer Uematsu left.

No, I'm not gonna buy it but I might just check out from someone's youtube playthrough how it is. I did like the old games from the series though; IV, V, VII, VIII and IX (especially that one).

No, not really. I do like Final Fantasy games in overall though.

I don't even remember how but I got an archive where there were quite a bit of FFVII avatars and I liked the ones for Tifa so I put them in use. Since them, I've been "Tifa" around the forums and have decided to keep it since that's how people recognize me by. Also interesting thing to note is that no one else seems to use Final Fantasy avatars around here.

Sometimes that kind of things happen in No$GBA lol. I think if you try it in Desmume it won't come; I've been there. That's why even though it's slow I support Desmume.
