Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. When somebody tries to base a movie on a book it just. . . I don't know, it loses something along the way.
I haven't even seen it. . . I keep hearing people say that it's so amazing, but I'm rather weary of it, myself.
Seriously though, coming from a Sherlock Holmes snob, the Jeremy Brett series was really good.
Apparently Jeremy Brett became Sherlock Holmes, on stage and off. He started getting into moods, he completely cut off his love life, he gained the cat-like movement of Holmes. . . Essentially his entire personality was devoured by the role.
But damn if he isn't the most amazing person I have ever seen portray Sherlock Holmes.
