Uhh, actually..
You see I tried to search everywhere to find some way to fix it.
And came across this:

Which helped me a lot and now my problem is fixed.
However, the source where I found it noted that it may not work if the game wasn't saved (in game) before the auto-save after beating E4, as in my case. So I had to intentionally lose the rival battle before fixing the problem, but after that I did the thing the video says (AKA went to tools->memory viewer etc.) and tried to save the game through in-game save, and it worked well.
