There were debate and conflict that GS has the higheat sales unit, while there were claims that RS as the highest one instead. Things went downhill in Gen IV while slightly better in Gen V.

It appears that GF/Nintendo's plan to bring back the older fans worked then. :D

It is interesting to note that back in the early days of Pre-Gen IV,
starter types were rumored to be Fighting, Psychic and Dark type. :D
Even serebii was fooled and believed that news.:)

I rather the starter sets to be Sinnoh 2.0, in other words Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic and Water/Fight. I have to stress espcially Water/Fighting, been craving a Water starter with that typing combinations, since pre-Gen III. :'(
