tbf I never actually say anything to people when they're feeding or dying so they can't exactly listen to me. I think I've only done the shotcalling once or twice and that was because I was getting ridiculously fed. we ended up winning that game so yay decisions \o/ honestly it mind blows me if you've never played support until level 30. what did you even do to achieve this? did you like spam champ select saying no supp or feed/dodge every game you got supp? jung and supp are enjoyable roles sometimes and I'll play them but it'll annoy me if I had one of my better roles and I had to swap because some other dude couldn't do it. :/
well I think in ranked, people don't trust their teammates. I think it's why most people lose their ranked games because they get so focused on them being ridiculously fed and they don't trust their team to help them carry. I think they have the mentality of "supp can't carry" but it does carry, just in a different way. supp carries the adc who does the most damage but I don't think people actually get that. almost no one can carry 1 v 5 at their skill level, you gotta trust. yet some idiots think they're so great and will not listen to their team. you can tell them "omfg its ranked" and they honestly would not give a crap. You can't really do much about these players but there's trolls/ragers even in diamond and I've seen people winning what was practically a 4 v 5.
well some games are also just uncarriable. had a team yesterday and by 10 mins cho was 0/6, we had a teemo adc who was running around not even (omfg why did I type evening) csing, feeding braum, complaining rengar. I still did okay though so I suppose I don't mind. managed to get a few kills here and there and got called the only decent person on my team so that was p cool. :p
about the afk/troll/feeder thing:
okay les think about this. mind you I really suck at chance so I might stuff up some equation or something here. then again its only using numbers up to 10 but theres still a chance. its 6:30 ok :(
ok so you yourself are not an afk/rager/troll/feeder whatever.
this means that there's a 4 out of 5 chance you'll get one of the above as opposed to 5 out of 5. even better if you have a duo partner, this makes it 3 out of 5 while the unknown enemy team which we'll just call x (because yay algebra). has a 5 /5 chance of getting an afk/rager/troll etc. well we don't know who's on their team so we'll assume that chance for now.
while I do think it's bad luck, I don't think people ever come to play a game of LoL and think. "well then imma just AFK before the game even starts, BYE GUYS." If they didn't like their team, they would of dodged rather than getting a leave + loss of LP. yes it's annoying as crap but really there's better things that afkers can do with their life. they either dc'd or have something really important to attend to so I almost never report AFKS. (unless its the type that just runs around in base and trashtalks their team for losing). as for feeders, if they're intentionally feeding well that kinda sucks. i think you already do this but: usually just tell the people who are feeding, very politely, "hey [champ name here], you seem to be having a hard time vs ___, you should play more defensively and not overextend until we can organise a gank/teamfight we'll win." oh and here's something smart: well since the feeder is free food for the enemy team, they'll probably try to ambush them in small groups of 2 or 3 since they're easy to kill. so what you can do is send up a few members of your team to wait in the bushes for the enemy team to come then bam, free kills. although the feeder may die, the shut down gold/profit for your team is probably greater than the feeder who's worth -5G.
also there's a load of disagreements and arguments about who did what, why did x not help y in games. it's really annoying having to listen to 2 people trading insults back and forth or arguing in general when something happened in the past. you could be winning the game rn instead of flaming some other dude. i dont like it when people say "omg why didnt you help or omfg we could of got that kill" in an annoyed way - it's in the past, just forget it. do whatever it is you missed, next time. it's also why I just ignore any in-game chat arguments and if it gets too far, I'll tell them to shutup and ask them to consider how arguing is really gonna help us win. but that's probably my only involvement in it.
well I get that it's annoying and it sounds absolutely crap but idrk what you can do about that stuff. shotcall and lead your team to victory i suppose, I've turned around a few normal solo q games because I told my team how to play smarter/why jinx was 10/0/not to continue dragon when the whole enemy team was coming for you. eventually we all ended up playing more defensively and the enemies started getting way too overconfident with towerdiving -> we ended up winning later once we all just farmed and got our builds. the post game chat was full of "gg comebacks" so yes it's possible. and just think of it like a really hard 4 v 5, but it's still possible to win. i played an irelia game a while ago, it was 4 v 5, 10 mins into the game. guess what score I ended on? 18/0/6 because I helped my team to turn their lanes around once I had won mine. and that was one of the best kdas i had ever gotten :p
all I can say is that, if your team mates are doing bs, roam. help their lane out, let them farm, eventually they'll become useful. hopefully. ANYWAY I WROTE THIS ALL FOR YOU YW
