  • Hey, I'm doing the habitats manually, but it still might be time consuming for others to add them in. Would it be possible for an autofill for the 649 dex? If so would you like my habitats list?
Is it legal or.. "legal" haha, seriously though thanks for clearing that up for me, it still sounds fairly illegal in my mind that's why I bought it to your attention :)
Lol I had a feeling since everyone kept telling ME that I used your tool, when I'm one of the people that helped the tool even have the feature I'm being told I used..
Also, how does a person tell me what I did when I'm the person that did it lol
    This day and age ^_^
I'm new to hacking, but I've been reading some stuff to start doing something, and your posts have helped me a lot, you are a boss.
Just realized the g3hs thread doesn"t have me in the credits. Remember doesnt and I were the pokemon expanders :P
Okay, thanks. I will be sure to read it. I am trying to add two new stones to my upcoming game, the Cold Stone and the Sky Stone
Umm, hello there. I was reading your tutorial about adding evolution stones to FireRed. what exactly did you mean by Step 2? Subtracting D from the offset or something.
Hehe. Mostly you just write wrapper functions that parse arguments and handle exceptions. Otherwise you just fill in massive structs. I guess it can be difficult to know when to decrease/increase reference counters - you have to do all the memory allocation/management yourself. If you need help just let me know.
hey howve you been? havent heard from you in awhile. why dont you come in the irc chats anymore?
Oh, before anything else, good day ^_^

I read your tutorial about editing hex in adding new evolutionary stone... and I found out that this is very useful, bud sad to say, I am new in Hex editing and from first to fourth stpe, I understood but in step 5, it started to give me a headaches.....

may I suggest to you a corresponding Screenshot for every step, In that way, it leads me in advancement of my knowledge in hexing, like what I did in scripting.....

    thank you :D
The basic principle is you compile a shared object/dll that has a modulename_init function. That returns a module object, which loads methods and such. There is a tutorial for Python 2 here and the reference is here. Then just use setuptools/distutils to compile. Otherwise, you can write bindings in pure Python using ctypes. If you want more help you can find me on #GoGo/#romhacking :)
I don't think the from_bytes method is available in Python 2. But you could just change that to struct. I'm busy rewriting this in C though (for performance reasons), so I'll write Python 2 bindings for that if you wish.
