Here I'll give you the post of what I said so you can see it again. He's talking about the two hacks I mentioned: Ruby Renev and Light Rising.
"You do realize that SWHF uses nothing but premade tiles from other tile spriters? Look at his credits list, it'll show you.
Sure, it's great that someone has the capability of looking around for nice tiles but that doesn't make a game. Any 8-year-old can do that. What makes a hack great is originality, creativity, and ownership.
Guess what? Meowth made all his tiles and made all his sprites, his idea is original (making a pokemon game into a zelda pokemon-styled game) and has incorporated many features like the original zelda games. The story isn't the same either so it has some more creativity and originality in that area also.
The GBC one has same tiles and sure nuzlocke that's cool and all but sorry a single feature doesn't make a game. Meowth's hack is by far the best hack listed and it's really a shame to see all the little kids vote for any other over this based off graphics or nuzlocke. But that's what separates hackers and players. Hackers have the motives, intelligence, and creativity (most times) to create good hacks while the players make Ruby Renev or Light Rising or vote for graphics only. This competition will never be fair as long as only 10-year-olds vote, but then again what am I saying... half of the posters in this section haven't even hit puberty yet."
