  • Thanks for the compliments, I really appreciate your kind words! I am not a pixel artist, I lack the skills and know-how to properly do it. Are you able to make sprites, by chance? Like, Pokemon-esque sprites?
    1 Yeah, the two people in there(prof and rix) have no scripts yet. Couldn't get it to work at first
    2 Well yeah you're working on it too didn't want to hog all the spotlight XD
    3 I know, that's one of the things I'm working on..... But I can't seem to get it to work.
    4 The NPCs offset is what script it leads to. If you change that to an existing script, then they will have that script. (If i wanted I could just copy Oak's offset and past it to Flare and have her act the same way including the "rival" because his script is in there too) If you put in an unused offset(found from free space finder) then you can write your own script. Of course if you wanted to you could just take an exsisting script and change it without changing the offset too.
    I've got most of the developing side taken care of, and I've got some art done, although I still need to do pokemon sprites, trainer sprites, and creature dwellings.
    Ok I can't text it yet so I need you(when you get on) to download the current ips and beta it and tell me:
    • If you enter the house after getting Pikachu and the Dex if the Pokeball reappears inside or if Flare reappears outside.
    • If there are funny looking text lines where after one line it goes to the next page.
    • What happens when you talk to Omninyte in the Lord Rix Memorial Park.
    • And finally click on the rock at the bottom right hand corner of Route 1 to get the Itemfinder, then see if it reappears. After that, go check in Mistor Forest to see if you can find a Leftovers item using the Itemfinder.

    I just stayed up late cramming scripting knowledge into my head haha. I changed 85(hex for 133, Eevee's dex number) to 19(hex for 25, Pikachu's dex number), and then changed hidesprite 0x2 in the script to hidesprite 0x0, since the script was changed from person event number 2 to number 0. Then I changed everywhere the text said EEVEE with PIKACHU. Later on, I'm going to add in Volt Tackle to Pikachu's natural moveset at Level 5. OP haha. I've screwed around on a Pokemon editor(don't remember which one I have) and it's easy so I can do that just fine.

    Also I added a second floor to the school, now it has a classroom, a professor, a random sleepy student, and I put in Red's sprite with your name(text says 'trenhoj: No entry beyond this point yet' like my Flare/Leaf character outside the room), if that's ok with you. I thought that since I don't know 'applymovement' and stuff yet that we can just have our characters stand in the way to places you can't go yet.
    And I STILL haven't figured out how to permanently hide her sprite when she hands out a dex. ;_;

    So I read a buttload of scripting stuff and tried my best to understand it and managed to not only completely change the Eevee script with a Pikachu at level 5 but I also made it a one time event!! I just sat there waving my arms around screaming 'I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT' XD
    Alright, since it seems Ruki, Bill, and PoK3(he pmed me) canmt do anything now for their own reasons, I'm tring my best to learn scripting quickly. I've got some more basics down, but do you think you can help me look into how to add sprites? You can choose whether you want to find and insert sprites or have me do it but I would need you to help me find out how. ;_;
    It's an old pc game you've probably never heard of. It's turn based strategy, basically you recruit creatures to use in battle on a grid. I've got most of development side down since I'm using that game's engine. (although maybe I could at some point make and independent engine). But I need spriters and animators to do the battle sprites and trainer sprites (and a few other things).
    I was talking about mods of other games, that add Pokemon, like the Skyrim Pokemon mod or Fallout Pokemon mod. Though those mods aren't very good because they're much more graphically advanced. I am working on one now that is 2d.
