Haha, well they aren't the only changes. I'll do a scope in my next few matches and let you know what prevails the most, for sure. I think it'd be fantastic if you can get back into the swing of things.
Bronzong is certainly still viable. The S&M folk can poke at particulars all they want, but the fact is none of them wifi anymore, so they can't be sure who is using what, particularly around the tournaments/leagues here on PC and in the Quick Battle thread. I agree with that, Shoddy is too easy, the one thing it's good for is giving me tests for sick-nasty movesets on guys I wouldn't have thought to use.
Back to Bronzong though, yeah, he's still down with the metagame. SkarmBliss is potent still (or if not, at least expect a Blissey on it's own). You've got your standard sweepers in Infernape, Alakazam, Salamence, Lucario (Swords Dance; very easy to take out in one hit if you play your cards right) and defensive Pokemon like Celebi occasionally, Vaporeon, Dusknoir (easy to predict), and every other you team you face will have a Gengar of some variety, haha.
As for your others, like I said any Gengar works to an extent, Starmie is a huge "Ohhhh snap" against anyone who's special wall is donesauce, and Forretress is something I've always wanted to train for a wall (and works wonders as a s'ploder)
You can also experiment with a bunch of the new sets they've got on Smogon. Yes, a good number include Platinum moves, but they always give you options (at least until Platinum gets it's butt over here to the U.S./Europe.)
Electivire, Rhyperior, Empoleon, Blaziken, Weavile, Tangrowth...all pretty easy to find Pokemon, yet all have their uses on the right team. Do some test runs and see what you like to use most!
