I revisited the overworld thing today, and I'm considering changing the general algorithm to be a little more effective for Overworlds. The only draw back is that you'd need a second routine for the backsprite updating. Is this preferable?

Now that you've returned to PokeCommunity, have you considered re-uploading the original Mirage of Tales? (The IPS link was removed from the thread. I don't mean reviving work on it, just letting it be preserved and available.)

(My personal bit: I was following it back in early 2014, but decided to hold off on playing V2 as V3 was right around the corner. Then I ended up taking a huge break from romhacks myself, and coming back now have seen that I missed out on the experience :<. )

From reading the last few pages of the dead thread, it sounds like there was a lot of stress over bugfixing and more technical matters, but the story and paths of MoT were really intriguing. In my view, we work towards technical excellence in romhacks to help the soul of the hack shine through as fluidly as possible - but technical matters aren't the make-or-break thing; that underlying soul is. And MoT looked to have a vibrant one.

it's fine! the forums don't allow any tinypic links anymore but if you've been using them from before it'll keep them, you'll just have to get rid of all of them if you want to edit a post containing any.
