For some reason foreigners tend to be either really polite or obscenely rude...with students they gravitate more towards the former when dealing with authority, and the latter when dealing with everyone else, at least in my admittedly limited experience. xD;
People could stand to at least be more courteous in general I think, though. It costs nothing to be civil, right?~

You would think so, but international students are actually really polite. They'd get extremely agitated around the time of a particular form - because the things took a long time to do and longer to clear - but they accepted what we told them and were always quite pleasant to deal with. I'm not sure if it's the maturity coming to the fore (after all, coming hungover to lecturers or not coming at all wasn't uncommon, haha) or just a cultural thing. So...yeah. Work with international students if you can. The painful accented phone calls are worth the generally friendlier atmosphere I think :3

I used to be, but University kinda cured me of that; I had to give a lot of presentations and even did some private teaching/tutoring during revision periods. Office jobs at schools are great though; I hope you can land one! I'd actually quite like one again when I'm allowed to work; a receptionist or something. As long as it's school hours. xD
