  • I agree, she could have credited the people but I don't think it's such a huge issue, especially on youtube where it's known to happen pretty damn often regardless, that isn't enough to call her a thief outright.

Yeah she probably does, they're marketing techniques, to have that knowledge and not use it to your advantage is like a video blogger uploading to vimeo instead of youtube even though he knows he can reach a wider audience through youtube.

She said "The game was to star a 16 year old hero named Krystal as one of two playable protagonists. She was tasked with traveling through time, fighting prehistoric monsters with her magical staff, and saving the world. She was strong, she was capable, and she was heroic."

So I'm not sure how she lied about it because she clearly DID end up sidelined in larger adventure.

While I enjoyed the video surprisingly her main complaint is how devs put a lot of focus on most female characters butts, using Marcus Fenix as an example when he is crouch running in full gear and not skin tight bodysuits like women have on, is not a good example. There was some obviously but the key here is that this is an issue because it happens MOSTLY to female characters and not generally to men though you can find a few exceptions, just like you can with females who don't have a focus on their butt. Catwoman's sway is super exaggerated, I have and played all the batman games and while the Batman beyond suit is form fitting, batman also doesn't get down on all fours and crawl around or have a exaggerated hip sway to emphasis his butt. Funny thing is before she ever came out with that video, I did notice that I couldn't look at batmans backside very easily with the cape, obviously it's there and kinda just hangs but it 90% of the time is always there, it doesn't sway much or move around normally like a cape would, it's fairly rigid unless he's fighting so those very, very brief glimpse of his "batbooty" are hardly comparable.

Also the batman beyond suit is not the default suit so it's kinda not the same thing. However Nightwing while wearing a form fitting costume, doesn't have a sway, doesn't have unnecessary emphasis on his butt and is displayed in comics/images in mainly powerful poses and not seductive. People see women (who happen to be powerful in a way such as having powers or combat abilities) and see her in a seductive pose and automatically think she's a powerful female character who HAPPENS to be sexy too, nah that's not how this works. She wasn't a person born into circumstance, she was created to be that way on purpose.

Gonna need a source for that one as I only recall her saying something similar to that about Hitman. Regardless though it's a game mechanic, it's an option the devs have given you and games like that encourage players to explore, in hitman you get a penalty for killing a civ but it's redacted by simply hiding the body, and then saving before mucking about is just avoiding the "penalty" altogether when you can reload it. A lot of these games you interact with strippers either as a health/stat boost/a tool or they're simply there as an option to murder, because that is the ONLY interaction you can have with them.

I've been on both sides of the fence with her, I started out not liking her at first but I started to dig deeper and make an effort to try and understand her point of view. Btw she did do a Lingerie is not Armor video, really enjoyed it.

No problem haha, I've been discussing Anita's arguments for a few years now, can't say it has gotten easier but it's always nice to converse with someone who isn't a insult slinging monkey just cause you disagree. Pre-warning sometimes my replies might come off blunt or ruder than intended, I apologize in advance for that.
That's fine, really! Honestly, I can understand both perspectives in a way, and it's kinda tiring/exhausting to debate it, because I don't think we'll really convince one another so perhaps it's best to agree to disagree haha.
And the TCGO is plenty of fun. I don't play it nearly as often as I should given how far I live from any leagues.
That is pretty crazy that you live so close.

Allowing trading of physical cards is something I'm actually looking into.
Some of it will depend on what risks the site wants to take. Some on my personal free time. Others simply on how many people are willing to play others in bi-monthly TCGO tournaments.
It kind of is, yes. A mix of bot crawlers and people being brought here via results on Google.
