  • The combat system seems okay now that I understand it, but it does annoy me when I've chain attacked with two elemental bursts, have the enemy down to a minimal amount of health, and they pull out some new overpowered move that one shots my entire party. I find it unfair, and it's made me consider turning the game to easy.

Anyways, I'm at the chapter 9 boss fight on top of the tree. So almost finished, I think.
Am I supposed to be sending money to the family of Rex? I noticed I can do that in the trade guild, and I hope I'm not screwing myself out of a good ending because I'm ignoring this feature.

Also I just noticed I can level up my field skills through the affinity chart. I can't believe I missed this. Not as bad as Xenoblade 1 where I didn't realize you could level the monado arts until the end of the game.
I've done every side quest possible, aside from 6 of them which are impossible because I don't have the field skills. Yeah I feel like the big moment was Chapter 3. I don't mind goose chasing Bana around, (because it's amusing having a napon villian) but in the back of my head I'm still waiting for that next thrilling moment. So glad I pulled Boreas as a blade, he is my absolute favorite character. EXP is pretty easy, I get that from grinding merc stuff too.

Oh yeah I absolutely love hearing about this stuff, so go ahead and shoot out any stories if you want. I'm not entirely sure I understand your analogy of throwing a hand grenade, but I think your trying to say you let out some much needed frustrations to the staff forums?
I think I caught on to what you meant by "you have to use the chain attack at some point". I made it to the chapter 5 boss, and the only way to kill the powerlines was with a chain attack before spike damage started.

I'm now on Chapter 6, and I'm swapping out between Rex and
    Spoiler:
I do plan on visiting again, so maybe you'll get your chance eventually! Was with the gf, we hit a couple of neat spots. El Retiro Park and the museum that held La Guernica. Also hit that massive club, forgot the name, the one with 7 floors or so? Def had my most memorable night there, the song Tusa will always remind me of the trip haha
yeah I understand chain attacks, they seem completely useless. I'd rather not waste 3 slots that could be used to save my team members. It's blade combos I find confusing. I keep getting them completely on accident.

On Chapter 4 right now, getting fatigued from side quests (buuut you know it's so rewarding to be high leveled). It's just annoying when I'm trying to beat a single enemy for an item, then some level 70 bird decides it's getting involved. I have yet to find anyway around this, and it's doubling the time I take on these quests.
I got to the part in Xenoblade where you meet mythra and fight Malos. That was an amazing scene.

Also I'm sort of understanding the combat is waiting as long as you can to get the high leveled specials. I don't quite understand how to chain them, so as soon as 3 circles appear I usually use them.
Nice! I was actually in Madrid last January, absolutely gorgeous city. Had the time of my life there. And yes you should! When the world stops trying to kill itself anyway.
Yoooo it was a cold 55F degrees today. I lost hit points walking to my car just to pick up some dinner. It was nice the other day though.

I'm on discord as Lilith. I should be sleeping right now though lol. Insomnia ugh.
We do have a thousand things to catch up on. Would it be easier on a different platform/discord/Twitter? My job wasn't impacted too much. I never got the chance to work from home since our accounting office has everyone spread out anyways. Yay having my own desk. I wouldn't really need to pursue a doctorate in accounting, but someday I want to study for my CPA. I'm just burned out from it since I do accounting everyday lol. Props to you for pushing forward! German can be useful when you need to swear at people's driving skills!
Hiii I've been doing well! Just working away and hoping to save up for a house soon, but the housing market and US economy in general is bonkers lol. How have you been? Missed your face!
Thank you! I feel so much better mentally than I did back in 2015. My job at the time was just plain toxic. Miss you!
i can only assume it kind of like... consumes your life, considering you work with stuff thats so perpetuated throughout every platform
safe and healthy are the only real goals this year yeah u_u
