First off, Scarf is teh most useful item in the world. It allows me to outspeed Deoxys, and OHKO Electrode.

In a number of those cases, Life Orb is a viable option, although it does become an issue with some pokemon that are SR Weak. It may not completely outclass Choice Items, but it can be effectively used on some choice sets.

As for Choice Scarf, I was refering to the fact that you can whack it on a number of pokemon that otherwise fail to outspeed specific targets and let them function as a revenge killer. There's a few pokemon that outspeed these threats, but very few of them have the same coverage or offensive power. I know that you could often use Band or Specs on those, but it won't always get the same effect.

I see what you're saying, don't think I'm not taking it in, but Scarf can still be used effectively. I guess we have to accept each others opinions and stick with our own.

For the record, I've used a Luvdisc on a Ubers team, and it's great fun. I might have to go in a sec, so don't be offended if I'm gone. :D

Uh, because Life Orb offers close to the same power boost without locking you in, whereas there is no alternative to Scarf.
