Well, the best pokemon game is Crystal, but there's a lot of good tools that you can't use on crystal. So maybe firered, for its graphics or gold for it's similarities to crystal.

I'm doing pretty good, trying my hand at hacking games before I try making my own. Hopefully this will make everything a lot easier and maybe I'll get a name for myself so people will check out all my games ^^
