Hmph, to be blunt, that's what they all say. And the titles should be fitting and nothing else, so if your game was fundamentally concerned with war and conflict, then Crimson Version would be the single best option. However, if you really are chronicling spirits (that sounds so vague), then fly with it. Again, no plot, no informed judgment from my end. Good luck with your endeavours-(and apologies for prying)
By the way, fangames, in general, are poorly-named with the exception of ones approriately-named but not obviously (I can cite examples if you'd like). The best one in my book is Protectors. It's fitting and stands out in the crowd. Now, it's not all that original, but it also doesn't sound too Final Fantasy-esque, you know? If you wanna know one I don't like that tries to be the stand-out...Hall of Fame Version...yeah.
