The Art of RNG [RNG Guide & Discussion]

My first Wondercard RNG \o/

[PokeCommunity.com] The Art of RNG [RNG Guide & Discussion]
#648 Meloetta (LV 50)

OT: SPR2013
[PokeCommunity.com] The Art of RNG [RNG Guide & Discussion]
ID: 03013
Modest - Serene Grace - 31/31/31/31/31/31 - Untouched
Round - Teeter Dance - Psychic - Close Combat

Now if only I had learned how to RNG when they released more events for Black/White.....

Congrats! Now you know how I felt towards the end of 4th Gen. ;-;

Yesterday, I got RNG reporter 831, I know how to use it, but I have no idea what my SID is, how do I figure out what my SID number is?

Yesterday, I got RNG reporter 831, I know how to use it, but I have no idea what my SID is, how do I figure out what my SID number is?

Let me just quote myself:

The SID can be found in few (reliable) ways. One is to use the Action Replay code for it if you happen to have one. Another way is to upload your Pokemon to Pokecheck.org. The third way is to use a flash cart and PokeGen. If you cannot do any of these, perhaps someone here will be generous enough to help you. You could trade a filler Pokemon caught by that game and they could use it to figure it out for you.

However, for people without access to Wi-Fi or an AR:

There is another way, but it requires you to have caught at least one shiny with the OT that you are trying to find the SID for.

If you need help with that last method, feel free to shoot me a message.

So... um... I decided I wanna RNG again and tried out RNGing Meloetta... and... um... this is what I came up with... *timidly pushes it forward, wondering if it's bad*

[PokeCommunity.com] The Art of RNG [RNG Guide & Discussion]
[PokeCommunity.com] The Art of RNG [RNG Guide & Discussion]

Meloetta Lv 50
Naive | Somewhat Vain
Serene Grace
Round | Teeter Dance | Psychic | Close Combat
SPR2013 | 03013
31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 30 (HP Ice 70)

Is... is it bad?

It's good for a collector, which is what Kiro is. Competively I'll never use a Meloetta, so I don't care too much. But of course, I'll do something nice when I get around to RNGing them.

Completed my trio!

My French Meloetta. RNG'd it on Wednesday, but my internet connection is limited so I couldn't put it here earlier.

I finally started my adventure in Japanese Diamond with a brand new ID/SID combo:

[PokeCommunity.com] The Art of RNG [RNG Guide & Discussion]

OT: ♠ゴンゾ♠ (♠Gonzo♠)
ID: 00200
SID: 00197
How to obtain (near) flawless shinies: Cute Charm (Male lead)
Natures: Impish, Hasty, Modest, Jolly, Timid, Naive
IV spreads: almost any.
If you're OK with legends being non shiny (Heatran can be shiny tho :D), I highly recommend choosing Cute Charm ID/SID RNG manipulation, because you're more versatile with those spreads than regular Synch ID/SID Abuse.

THE BEST THING IS HERE SO BE SURE TO OPEN IT!!1
Spoiler:

Great job, Gonzo on learning Emerald PID abuse for the shiny! Looks wonderful. Also, great ID!

It's not that hard when you're used to hitting delays and using eontimer. The most difficult part is lack of reliable in-game sources of verifying your frame, so you either have to use emulator (don't, pls ;__; ) or you have to use some kind of external device. If you don't, you're eff'd. Calibration, PID verifying and then IV veridying process are tedious, really.

Hey guys, quick question. I've been abusing the RNG in Black 2. A couple of days ago I tried to tuck in a Pokemon so I could access the Dream World. However, I was given an error message along the lines of "Game Sync has run out of energy. Please wait 24 hours before syncing again." I assume this is because I've altered my time/date settings for RNG purposes.

I tried accessing the Dream World just now, and I was able to tuck in a Pokemon just fine. I'm curious though...how would I be able to RNG Dream World pokes in the Entree Forest, while preserving my access to Game Sync features? Is there a workaround to the 24-hour waiting period? Or will I just have to bite the bullet and wait longer in-between Dream World sessions?

If I recall correctly you'll have to bite the bullet, sorry D: (unless there's a work around that I don't know). I don't Dream World RNG Abuse so I'm not exactly sure. I'm sure a more qualified RNGer will post an answer by the end of tomorrow.
