Right so...the main purpose of this thread is for you guys to create your own hypothetical pokemon gym, as if you were an actual gym leader.

Badge: Chaos Badge

Layout: A multi-floored gym (5 floors) where you travel between floors in complicated flights of stairs to get to the Gym Leader

Trainer classes: Ace Trainers, Veterans, PIs, Burglars

What would your gym specialize in? Bug Type

What would the badge you give out be called? Beetle Badge

How would you describe the gym structure? At the front of the gym, there are 3 holes. Each hole extends into a maze akin to that of an ant colony. In that maze, you need to find the proper exit that gets to the leader.
What trainer classes would your gym have? Bug Maniacs/Bug Catchers

What would be your opening phrase? People say that the Bug-type is weak and frail! As a result, they are underestimated completely. I will show you what the true power of insects holds!

Gym Structure?: 3 floors. You must defeat all Trainers on each floor to activate the elevator to go to the next floor. The Gym Leader is on the 3rd floor.

Trainer Classes in Gym?: Guitarists, PokeFans, Sailors, Gentlemen, Electricians and PokeManiacs.

How would you describe the gym structure?
It would be all rainbow-y inside (cue Daria's "RAINBOW!") and Rotation Battles galore (still one-on-one though) and aurora walkways that change direction/location/etc. based on switches you step on (kind of like Opelucid's gym).

What trainer classes would your gym have? (I.e. Youngsters, Birdkeepers, Cooltrainers, etc.)
Cooltrainers (not Ace Trainers because Cooltrainers makes it punny) and Ladies.

What would be your opening phrase?
"The soul of ice shattered fate." A line from one of my favorite songs. How do you feel knowing you'll be facing someone who can freeze fate itself?

Seems that I've shattered fate yet again. A gray day for you. ~~No I won't stop with the FT references.~~

What would your defeat phrase be?
Ah... It seems I could not stop fate this time. *cue overworld plus gym music* Strength comes from within the heart, but it cannot be controlled unless one understands the greater strength that is teamwork. Gym specialization: Fire
Badge: The Pyre Badge
Structure: Well, my gym would pretty much take place on a volcano, it would seemingly look pretty much a lot the same as the Blackthorn City Gym, only instead, you have to go higher up the volcano to get to the gym leader who is at the top.
Trainer Classes: Ace Trainers, and Fire Breathers.
Opening Phrase: "Woah, I'm suprised you've made up here. I'm Damian - Leader of the Vilthorn Island Gym. I have become a part of this island, and a part of this volcano and because of which have grown a fiery bond with my fire Pokémon. As a gym leader I will take you down no matter what. Bring it on!"
Victory phrase: "Hmm... looks like you didn't have what it took to cool me down."
Defeat phrase: "What? You've cooled me right down. Heh, well as proof of your victory, I present to you the Pyre Badge."

- 3 rooms. In each room there is a maze built out of teleport pads. On the far side of the room there is a door. Defeating at least 1 trainer per room is necessary to get to the door. Touching a teleport pad will send you to the beginning of the room.-

How would you describe the gym structure?
The gym would be a straight forward gym where the challenger had to decipher a puzzle of a Zekrom (ala the Unown puzzles) to gain access to the Gym Leader.

What trainer classes would your gym have?
An optional trainer battle against a Gambler. If defeated, the Gambler would reveal what Pokemon the puzzle was of.

What would be your opening phrase?
"Welcome to my gym! Here we cross wires and sparks fly as we engage in battle of the most electrifying sort! Let us begin."

In the middle of a Taiga environment; remote, pines clustered around, and an icy stream flowing down the middle. The real test is crossing through the water!

I honeslty don't know how many times I have made a gym up in these types of threads but i think I'll do it again! XD;

My gym specialise in the Physic pokemon. My badge would be known as the official 'Controle Badge." representing mind power and mind control along with demonstrating sharp technique and syncrecy. The gym would be constructed of purple electric beams in which integrate to form a complex maze confusing gulible trainers. Only the most sharp trainers can pass and if they are hit by a beam one of their pokemon will lose half of their health. Also, they can encournter many trainer that are running around the maze widly often stumbling into the protagonist when he/she is slowly making their way through.

Now onto myself as the gym leader. My opening phrase would be something along the lines of; "Only trainers who possess strong mental abilities may be entrusted with this gym's badge. I am Curious this gym's leader and shall except your challenge. Please brave yourself." If I win the battle; "Humph. I was right, I knew you'd lose from the start." If I lose; "Your physic abilities are outstanding, take this badge with pride."

My team would consist of:

Grumpig level 60.
Espeon level 59.
Hypno level 59.
Alakazam level 60.
Renuniclus level 59.
Gothitelle level 58.

Flying types

What would the badge you give out be called?
Ozone badge

How would you describe the gym structure?
You jump on a mechanical Pidgeot and it flies around while you control it. The whole room has rings in it and is dark. As you fly around there is a small circle of light around you. You have to go through five correct rings or you will face an optional trainer. If you beat all 5 trainers because you didn't go through any correct rings you go straight to the gym leader. Of course, to get to the robot Pidgeot there are trainers between you and it. Basically this gym is all about luck.

What trainer classes would your gym have?
Birdkeepers, Ace trainers and one Guitarist

What would be your opening phrase?
You have courage to meet me. I am Zack. I have mastered the Flying Pokemon and visited the whole world through the skies. In battle, challenging or not, we always are victorious. Now enough with the talking. Behold, the power of the skies!

How would you describe the gym structure? The gym would be a large maze where if you take a wrong turn, BOOM, wild, uncatchable dragon pokemon.

What trainer classes would your gym have? Cool Trainers, Ace Trainers, Dragon Tamers.

What would be your opening phrase? You've come too far to turn back now, haven't you? Well, since that is so... Allow me to show you the full force of dragons!

How would you describe the gym structure?

A poison swamp. Tall trees would obstruct your view throughout the gym. You cannot see any sprite, except for the trees. You cannot escape any trainer because they are placed where you cannot miss them. The gym leader will be at the far end of the gym. The gym leader will be the one to talk to you, pretty much like a normal trainer. All pokemon will be poisoned at the start of every battle.

The air will be frosty and the goal is to move ice cubes around. There will be warps that make you fly in the air to different sections to read the leader.

My gym would be a giant pool and the only way to get to the leader is to dive underwater and dive back to the surface but if you dive up at the wrong spot then you will have to vs a trainer.

What would the badge you give out be called? Spade Badge (If you got the reference, you'll start to see a theme.)

How would you describe the gym structure? One floor, with desks for all the trainers in the gym. The only door on the far side is the Leader's Office, where you'll battle him.

What trainer classes would your gym have? P.I.s and Officers

What would be your opening phrase? "Police work, in theory, would be greatly augmented by Psychic abilities, because if you can tell if someone is lying to you, you can 'raid' their mind and get the truth anyway... I have high doubts you'll best me, but I'd enjoy the practice anyway. Let's go..."
