Ok, I'll use Black :) Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, Internet was out at my dad's :(
Oh wait, I'll also be using LeafGreen instead of fire red, since I can't get Sneasel in fire red.

Surge and Erika are down, both with relative ease. Resisting the Gym's type and having a strong attack that none of them enjoy taking makes it as you might expect... super easy.

    Spoiler:

    ------(Edit/Update)-----

Got the last of the gyms down! Next up: the Elite Four + Champion. Should be easy. Bought my good old friends, X Items, to help with the job. Onwards!

    Update #2: Charizard - Red
Once again I've acquired the last four badges. Just the Elite Four and Champion left, so this should be over soon. The only thing that's quite annoying about playing Red again is the graphics, they take a bit to get used to after playing the next gen games quite often.

note: after gym 6, the game drags on because I have to beat 2 galactic bases, go all the way though the snow (that's long and annoying), beat a long and intricate galactic base, then climb the tedeous mt. cornet and beat many double battles and palkia. after gym 8, though, things get a little better, but I hate elite four grinding.

    -beat gym 6!
    -healed!
-climbed to the top of cancalave library
    -walked back down
    -flew to lake valor
    -beat galactic commander
    -flew to lake verity
    -beat guys here
    -beat galactic commander
-flew to... the city before mt. cornet
    -shiny... OK fine not really.
    -went through mt. cornet
-had a pain of a time on this one trainer. kept failing. heck, I just kept failing on trainers, period.
    -got to gym
    -grinded
    -tried to beat gym
    -lost
    -bought hyper potions
-uses savestates because wood hammer is an OHKO and avalance is if I hit abomasnow. also hail got annoying.
    -won
    -save!

I think that-somehow-my pichu no-evo solo run is going OK

-after I beat the ice gym I healed
-I went to the galactic base
-I beat some galactic people. still haven't learned not to use golbat, but at least they're using things like dustox
-I forgot to deposit my HM slave starly, so I entered a double battle
    -I lost :(
-I depositied it and got through
-I managed to beat the boss in one try (I think...?)
-The other guy was another story...
-well I started climbing mt. cornet which is full of... graveler. grass knot FTW!
-I beat galactic grunts along the way
    -I got to the top
-savestates again... forced double battles with one pokemon x.x
-I KO'd my friend's munchlax so he'd send out something USEFUL
-used savestates on leader because anything on his weavile is an OHKO or at least close
-all his other pokemon (murkrow dark/flying, gyarados water/flying, and crobat poison/flying) were easy. bit too mahy electric weaknesses, agree?
    -a wild PALKIA appeared!
    -go BABY MOUSE!
    -got away safely
-I realized flying from spear pillar is impossible x.x
    -I WALKED down it
-made it to the electric gym. evolving every level is getting annoying
    -zap plate gotten!
    -I grinded a bit
-I used a few savestates, but most of the trainer pokemon in the gym were either weak or dumb :P
    -gym! electric! vs pichu!
    -gym! beaten!

  • Just a quick reminder everyone, December 31 will be the last day anyone can sign up for a 5th Gen Ultimate challenge, any ultimate challenges after that will have to include either Pokemon X or Pokemon Y version in order to be considered an ultimate challenge.

I'm just quickly typing this up before I go to bed so sorry for the short update. I will update more in-depth sometime over the next week or 2, hopefully before Christmas :)

  • So, for some weird reason, my Ledian solo game data got erased. For now, I'm gonna have to drop the Ledian solo and return to it at a later time. I will come back for it and destroy everyone with a sucky Bug type, though. For now, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm gonna do...a Seadra solo on Blue.

    Name: KoboraX
    Pokemon: Seadra
    Game: Pokemon Blue

    Kill me now.

    • Started the game
    • Hacked in Horsea in place of Squirtle as a starter option to make it fair
    • Owned my rival
    • Got killed by a wild Pidgey >_______>
    • Delivered Oak's Parcel
    • Bubble spammed my way through Viridian Forest until I could only Struggle
    • Absolutely murdered Brock
    • Started complaining a lot about Horsea's shallow movepool early on since I could only rely on Bubble as an attacking move until I got the Water Gun TM from Mt. Moon
    • Finally learned Smokescreen at Lv. 19
    • Got owned twice in Mt. Moon, but managed to get out.
    • Went to Cerulean and beat my rival again
    • Learned another non attacking move. GGs game.
    • Bubblebeam destroyed tons of lives
    • My Horsea evolved when I killed some Dugtrio in Diglett's Cave
    • Cleared out the S.S Anne.
    • Electric types...
    • After getting through Rock Tunnel, Seadra wanted to learn yet another non attacking move.
    • Finally got Seadra set up with a couple of attacking moves once I reached Celadon. Erika stands no chance now
    • Took care of the Rocket Hideout and Pokemon Tower
    • Took the long way to Fuchsia
    • Got Surf and destroyed Koga
    • Returned to Saffron and dealt with Sabrina after Silph Co.
    • Headed back over to Celadon and destroyed Erika
    • Made it over to Cinnabar via Pallet Town and destroyed Blaine
    • Owned Giovanni
    • Owned Victory Road
    • You don't even want to know how bad the Elite Four got destroyed.

    Team Zeus (Final)

    Spr_1b_117.png

    Trident (Seadra) Lv. 79
    Final Stats: 222/148/219/185/196
Moves: Surf, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Double-Edge

I still hate Seadra. It's shallow base of attacking moves in Gen 1 added onto my original hatred since it was annoying being forced to fight Grass types with Bubble and Water Gun. Bubblebeam made things easier, but it's just the fact of the matter that the shallow movepool in terms of attacking moves really bothered me throughout the playthough even though I swept through everything once Horsea evolved. And the reason why my Seadra is Lv. 79 is because I had saved up 6 Rare Candies up until after Lance, then just used them all to become even more overkill.

    here's what happened...
    -waterfall get!
    -meadow plate get!
    -I went to victory road!
-I faced a blissey at low hp and we TIED! wow! (kod me w/double edge, recoil kod itself)
    -I kept moving!
-the torterra was-as expected-hard as hell. grass knot is x1 and thunderbolt is x0
    -I beat it
    -stupid gabite...
-esacpe rope -> heal -> rechallenge
    -gabite beat!
    -I kept going
-lady had a gible... 100% chance of using dig... my only chance was (I was at low HP) to max potion then X defend.
    -well I won
    -finished victory road!
    -save!

    what pichu knows
    Thunderbolt: best move by far.
Thunder wave: use it on annoying grass types. not that useful, though...
Sweet kiss: confusion > paralasis, and it works on ground. one problem: 75 accuracy
Grass knot: best only thing on ground types
    what I can teach it
Return: good on grass types (pichu's happiness is maxed)
Toxic: does this really need an explanation?

so... what should I enter the E4 with?

    Keeps blasting off again!
