Arceus' Shadow (OOC)

Something disastrous has just befallen the world of Pokemon. Team Cipher is at it again, but this time, they have somehow managed to close the door to Arceus' heart. Arceus has been turned into a Shadow Pokemon…

With this power, Arceus can now turn any wild pokemon into shadow pokemon. However, this process runs slowly and randomly. Everywhere around the Pokemon World, wild pokemon are terrorizing the towns. Fortunately, the effect doesn't seem to have applied to all pokemon, yet. You are an elite trainer, one of the three chosen for each region. You must protect the people, restore peace, and purify Arceus somehow. Are you up for it? The world is depending on you.

Rules:
-15 trainers maximum
-3 for each region
-A leader will be assigned for each region-team, but leadership can freely be passed on.
-At first, the leader is the first one to sign up for a region.
-Pokemon number does not matter, but please, normal pokemon. I don't mind one shiny per team, but no "Eevee glowing blue with yellow eyes" please.
-I will not join the rp, but I will moderate, give out events and such.
-You can catch Shadow pokemon, but they will have to be purified in order to battle with them.
-I'm going to take this opportunity to tell you that you need to have "Arceus has gone rogue…" in your SU title to be accepted.
-Inactivity is not tolerated. If it has been 3 days since you were needed, you will be fired and replaced.
-Roleplay will be started when one of the teams have been filled up, and ready to go.
-Please don't make missions go by too fast. Take your time, stop and smell the roses.

Opening Plot:
You have just finished your briefing. You will be sent in a shuttle. There are 5 shuttles, each taking 3 people from an undisclosed location to your respective regions by air. It is in these shuttles that you begin your journey (roleplay). This opportunity will be used to get to know your teammates. The shuttles are black, round, 8 feet across, and have benches along the wall. There are no windows, only a solitary light on the ceiling. When you arrive, your first mission will be given.

Basically, you start with a "ready" pokemon team. That is, you are an elite pokemon trainer, you have already won tons of battle. Post the team you battle with, but they don't HAVE to be fully evolved. NFEs can be powerful too.

Name: Malic Ragel
Gender: Male
Age: 28

Appearance: Malic at a first impression is impressive, but only to a point. Standing at about 5"10, Malic sports a muscular body developed over the course of of nearly two decades of training. However, his muscles are more toned than bulky allowing him to have a high level of agility and speed on-top of his strength.

Examining his physical features, Malic's face is distinct for having almost child-like features. He has bright blue eyes that hide behind shaggy wholesome brown hair. His skin is fair with rosy cheeks that only small child would actually have. He remains clean-shaven to the best of his ability and his actual face has no real physical impurities other than a few cuts and bruises due to the natural environment and his intense training and a single scar running down from his forehead across his left eye down halfway through his cheek. This scar is a personal symbol for him and he sports it with a strange combination of pride and shame.

Malic's choice of clothing is what you would expect in a standard trainer, meaning they are practical, functional and far from pretty. First and foremost, his torso is covered by a black slim fit t-shirt with a dragon design on the front and back. For further protection from the elements, Malic wears a jacket with a black base color and red accents on the sleeves and shoulders adding some character to the coat. The symbol of the Blackthorn Gym Bade is placed in the mid-back of the jacket. Fingerless worn leather gloves protect his hands however they are partially ripped and are reaching the end of their days. His jeans are the the standard denim color with some fading, however they retain their blue luster. They are kept in position by a black leather belt with a Blackthorn Gym Badge custom made buckle. Malic's shoes are of the Vans design complete with a black and red design to match his famed jacket.

Malic, of course, wears his own share of accessories to further decorate his already custom design. The most distinct accessory is his sliver chain necklace with the Blackthorn City badge acting as a pendant. To compliment the necklace, Malic has a sliver loop earring on his right ear and a sliver ring on his left hand. Underneath his clothing, Malic invested in body art. He has a series of tribal tattoos running down from his neck to the his hands on both arms. His back contains a design featuring two dragons combating each other and his chest as a Phoenix roughly where his heart is.

Personality: Malic is practically the definition of laid back, preferring to hold on to his "go with the flow" view on life which allows him to take on obstacles one by one. For the most part, Malic only has a few cares and concerns which allows him to remain focused on the one thing that matters to him: Pride. Malic takes great pride in his position as an elite Pokemon trainer and even greater pride in the history of Blackthorn and the trainers from it. Malic's pride stems from a long career mostly defined by success in Pokemon Battling. For the better part of his career, Malic has grew accustomed to success and as a result, he is confident in his abilities to succeed, and shockingly has not developed a massive ego.

In terms of social interaction, Malic acts on the border of being immature. He packs childish energy and is extremely talkative and outgoing. He almost always speaks his mind and is honest to a fault, typically annoying people in the process. Malic lacks raw intelligence as his only education was how to raise and battle Pokemon and lacks basic common sense at the same time. However, he is an expert on the aspects of Pokemon and is typically up to date on the latest events in the world due to his tendency to constantly read the newspaper. He is fiercely loyal to his comrades however and is capable of rising to the occasion if need be crediting the culture of Blackthorn for his heart and determination in times of need. Malic is a bit of a day dreamer and will zone out in times of peace, which becomes a major distraction during any sort of business. As a result, he typically needs someone to knock him back to earth.

History: Born in the heart of Blackthorn City, Malic was raised by loving parents, his older brother and various members of the family on both sides. United, they were dubbed the Ragel Clan, which was known for a strange level of affinity for dragons that even high level Dragon trainers could not understand fully, to the point of extreme doubt. At an early age, Malic was exposed to the power of dragon Pokemon watching various training exercises between legends like Lance and Clair, but also sparring matches amongst the members of his clan. Experiencing these moments lit a fire in Malic's soul and fueled his desire, which up to this point wasn't sparked it, to become the greatest Dragon tamer of his generation.

At the age of 7, Malic begged his father for a Pokemon to help jump-start his quest. Normally these trainers either leave the town to receive their Pokemon from a licensed professional or go through a painful process to receive one from the higher ups of Blackthorn. These attainments of Pokemon usually occur between the ages of 10 to 14, however Malic's father found a loophole and immediately seized the opportunity. For Malic's 8th birthday, his father gave him a Pokemon from the distant region of "Hoenn". A Bagon to be precise. That gift was the beginning of a long history united by a shared passion.

For the next 6 years, Malic trained with Bagon in the most difficult of environments until they believed themselves to be ready for the outside world. Including epic rock climbs, survival contests and raw combat, the training brought these two to their limits. Upon Bagon's evolution into Shelgon, Malic believed himself ready for a continuation of their long journey. With a party set on the day before his departure, Malic left on a good note receiving many gifts and wishes. As a result of his confidence, Malic vowed not to return until he was proud of the man he became.

His first obstacle was the Johto and Kanto Leagues which became recently unified. While he only required 8 badges to enter the league, Malic with his typical youthful energy and optimism decided that the full 16 badges would be more challenging and serve as a better mark of his strength. For the next 2 years, Malic traveled the regions, taking his time and making sure to cover every last bit of the regions for training and experience. At the age of 16, Malic entered the league with a team similar to his current one (Salamence, Charizard, Seadra, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, and Dewgong). He placed fairly well, losing out in the final round to an up and coming trainer from Pallet Town. The defeat however hit Malic hard and he decided a quick escape would calm his nerves.

The new destination was Sinnoh, where he spent the next 6 years of his life. The years were full of intense training and hunting for the next components of his team. It was Sinnoh that his final team was constructed and it was in Sinnoh that he attained his highest levels of success. The diverse landscape served as his own personal gym and the competitive atmosphere fueled his training regime. In due time, he returned to the Pokemon League leaving as the victor of the tournament rounds only to combat the Elite Four and leave in defeat. While his second failure was not as surprising, it left a bad taste in his mouth.

Hoenn was the only region left the unconquered and much like Sinnoh, Malic spent the 6 most recent years in the heart of it. Instead of slowly progressively through the region, Malic rushed and attained the 8 badges as quickly as possible in order for him to spend the remainder of his 6 year tour in seclusion, in order to focus on training.

Personality: Mavis is known to have a certain level of intensity, much more than his lax master. Mavis is far more reckless, running headfirst into battles and improvising his every move and in a strange twist often leaves will a startling level of success. However, Mavis is always known for unwavering loyalty and obedience in situations that call for it. This makes Mavis not only a powerful but reliable member of Malic's team. In terms of appearance, Mavis is no different than a standard Salamence other than his larger build, standing at almost 6 feet and a distinct scar across his face, similar in form to Malic's.

Gender: Female

Personality: Then only member of Malic's team without a name, Kingdra is the most generic and bland member of the team. Kingdra listens when called upon and has proven to be a consistent fighter with a solid win/loss record due to its ability to plan and predict the moves of the opponent. Kingdra has quickly become the most quiet member of the team to the point of freaking out the others, however Malic strongly favors Kingdra due to her strong mind and defensive type that allows for no weakness. To follow the generic trend of Kingdra, she has no distinct features.

Name: Skeletor
Species: Aerodactyl
Gender: Male

Personality: Quite possible the most brutal and evil member of the time, Skeletor is one of the most ferocious members of the team having a deep contest with Garchomp for holding onto the title of scariest member. A Pokemon notable for its close combat, up close style Skeletor became a fan favorite amongst Malic's team as its style brings lots of "Holy Sh@!" moments in competitions. Skeletor's physical features are distinct due to its heavy battles with cuts, scrapes and scars all over its body.

Personality: Argos is one of the most recent additions and he has quickly established himself as a mainstay. Much like Skeletor, Argos is a deadly combatant known for epic, drawn out battles. Unlike his rival, Argos favors longer battles as it allows him to analyze the combat and use tactics within the battle using a combination of melee and ranged combat in order to systematically dismantle his foe. Garchomp has his share of battle damage however it is far less in amount and more concentrated on his fins.

Species: Milotic
Gender: Female

Personality: The youngest and most recent member of the team, Atlantia is also the most affectionate and docile member. Having a major crush on Malic, Atlantia is known for her desire for attention. She is also extremely protective and her battle prowess backs up her "bark." Atantia strongly favors long range combat and takes defensive maneuvers whenever the battle gets too close, making her a tactical, intelligent battler much like Kingdra. Her physical features are no different than other well groomed Milotics.

Personality: Malfoy is the proudest member of the team and one of the senior members, being with Malic since the beginning. An experienced battler, Malfoy is one of the most intelligent fighters capable of adapting to any scenario and fight at 100% in that scenario. Malfoy, despite his ego, is pretty calm and mellow outside of his boasting. His usage in battle has somewhat declined, however, he is known to train heavily so he is never out of practice.

Arceus has gone rogue

Name: Ariala Davis

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Appearance: Ariala can seem very weak at first glance. Standing short for her age at 5"2 people never expect the hidden strength the small seventeen year old possesses. With years of practice she has strengthened the muscles in her legs making her able to be stealthy and agile, she can run quickly and at times can be near impossible to catch and for a small girl she can throw a good punch.

Her looks are unique from her deep tan skin to her aqua colored hair. She has a mature look to her face but that look is thrown off by her childish topaz colored eyes. The bridge of her nose is freckled and her short curly hair frames her face only going down to just below her shoulders. One of the first things people notice about her is the burn scar going from underneath her right eye curving down and ending at her chin. If asked how she got the burn she'll quickly change the subject not liking to talk about it.

Like the rest of her Ariala's choice in clothing is unique and not like anyone else's. Even though she acts like the most tomboyish person you could ever meet she travels dressed in a deep rich red colored tube top paired with a checkered skit with Black and the same deep rich red color. She has a black jacket tied around her waist and is never seen without her favorite red headband on her head to keep her bangs out of her face. Her choice in shoes is just as strange as the rest of her outfit. She always wears a pair of Black heeled boots that look stylish and that she can easily run in. On the side of her neck Ariala as a web of deep red roses almost the color of blood and she has a gold ring in her lip along with a black backpack she always has with her.

Personality: Unlike how her looks describe her Ariala is a perfect model in behavior for a tomboy. She's not afraid to get down and dirty and is a big fan of sports that involve running. She has though inherited her mothers temper and when it snaps...which happens easily she can be ruthless and cold sometimes going as far as to yell and scream at whoever made her mad. But other than the temper she is a very sweet girl and once she gets to know someone than if anyone wants to hurt that person they'll have to go through her to do it. She fiercely loyal and protective of her friends. The one flaw in her personality is how being insulted affects her. Ariala is very prideful and at times can be a little vain mainly in debates on which Pokemon are better. And if someone insults her or her fire Pokemon she'll take it in a matter of ways. On rare occasions she'll just walk away, sometimes depending on the insult she could cry but mainly her temper snaps. She's very headstrong as well and usually is searching for someone that thinks more rationally than she does herself.

History: Born and raised in Fukiyose City in the Unova region, Ariala grew up in a loving home with her Father since her Mother had died when she was born. As a little girl Ariala had a strange fascination with fire. On more than one occasion she was yelled at by her father for getting to close to the wild fire Pokemon that roamed the fields in the town. When she turned ten was when the disaster happened.

She had been playing in the fields around the airport and unknowingly disturbed the nest of a Kuitaran. The Pokemon furious with her for disturbing her nest where her Pokemon eggs lay waiting to hatch lashed out at the girl with Flame Blast leaving the burn scar on her face. Her father furious with her stopped allowing her to go to the fields and kept her home at all times before he allowed her to become at Trainer at age thirteen. Her starter Pokemon was a small Tepig and surprisingly the first wild Pokemon she caught was the same Kuitaran that had attacked her three years before.

Ariala spent three more years traveling the Unova region and after three years of trying she managed to beat the Pokemon league with her team of Fire Pokemon but lost to the champion. She didn't let that bother her instead glad she got that far. When she was selected as one of the Elite Trainers to protect the Unova region Ariala readily accepted glad to be doing something to help her people.

Personality: Flare is like a miniature version of Ariala. Just like her Trainer Flare is headstrong with a terrible temper. She takes great offence if her pride is insulted and she can be ruthless in battle. She cares deeply for her trainer and friends having been there for Ariala since day one.

Personality: Blitz is nothing like Flare or Ariala apart from the same fact she is loyal and very protective of her trainer. Remembering the incident the tree years before Ariala caught her. Blitz will not hesitate to do anything to protect her trainer. She stays calm in a situation no matter what and amongst the Pokemon she is the voice of reason always knowing what to do and how to take care of the others because of her strong maternal side.

Personality: Jet is the happy go lucky type. He always seems cheerful even after a loss and will go to any means necessary to brighten the mood of the group. Usually by making a fool of himself he's always jokeful and in a generally pleasant mood.

Personality: Scorch is the coldest of Ariala's Pokemon. He's also her newest and doesn't take well to losses. He's very vain and self centered and thinks of himself as better than the other Pokemon that aren't part of the team. He won't hold back in a fight even if Ariala tells him to and has on more than one occasion almost started fights amongst the other Pokemon. He has a cold look to his eyes and shows no mercy.
