If you're concerned with aesthetics in a search engine of all things, I worry that you may not have placed your sensibilities well. What's different about them in that regard, anyway? They both have white pages with a logo and a text box below that, and their results pages are likewise laid out in the same way as each other.

DDG is doing the job for me. Well, technically I use Google through DDG, so it's not really doing anything besides adding some layer of security on top of it.
