Sure:

Numba 1. Write teh code in Notepad.
Numba 2 save it ask gengar.rbc
Numba 3. right click compile script.
Numba 4 destination in bufrite.
Numba 5 find the offset (ex. $E3D5R4) <not real offset
Numba 5. go into a-map
Numba 6 make new player
Numba 7 give him offset
Numba 8 save
Numba 9 Test
Numba 10 PHAIL

Go to destination
Set Pokemon Fire Red. G B A
Then go to that binocular thingymahooie
then go to the otha binocular tingy and then
choose one of those codes
press accept

Copy the first code on the list
meaning like the first thing that comes up.
then burn it to the rom.
after go to a-map
create person event and then give it the offset

Would somebody explain what an offset is/does for me, in not too many words?

I've never hacked before. Having read through a bunch of tutorials and hearing you guys talk about 'em, I have my guesses as to what exactly they do… but I'd rather someone just tell me straight out.

I imagine this has something to do with my other question… which is: in PokeScript, what exactly occurs when you save for example a script defining a new trainer (or other random character standing in the game…), to your ROM? Does it just stick it haphazardly at the end of the script? How does the ROM know what to do with your arbitrary new piece of code?

(This applies to FR/LG/R/S/E, GSC and RBGY are 2-3 bytes)
An offset is the 4 byte code that points to what you want to find.
Sometimes it's also referred to as a 'pointer'.

If you provide us with a Script it would be much easier finding out what went wrong. Does it do this for all scripts, or just one?

whenever i try to onsert my own tiles in advance map it says pallette file missing

You would need to read a few Scripting guides about ScriptEd

Title screen is easy. There's a couple of tutorials about it in the Documents and Tutorials board. I would post a link to a some good tutorials but since I don't have 15 posts or more, I can't.

About the trainers, I don't know if you can add new trainers, I would like to know if you can as well...

Also can or is there a program that allows me to change to set Moves a pokemon learns as it levels Up?
and do you have an advance text that has all the text in ruby? not just until route 101?

Okay, then how do people know for example… the offset for the code for Oak's Parcel? (I just saw that in a tutorial…)
Is there a way to tell from the code itself? Or is it just trial and error.

Is there then a large list of offsets for different parts of the game?

yes there is i think its called 'Checkgender' but you have to have an if line after that
im not too sure about the differences between the guy and girl but i think the guy is 0x0 and the girl is 0x1 once agin im not too sure
